  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:28-32

It's obvious that sometimes God just gives some over to a depraved mind and allows them to believe that which isn't true. That's why so many are believing the devil's lie that homosexual sex is not a sin.

Or maybe why so many believe that it IS a sin. Oops, your argument works both ways. Guess we'd better go looking for OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE and maybe even LOGIC to make moral decisions huh?

But you can't apply logic to the Bible.

Had I wished to be sarcastic and insulting, I would have left little doubt to my intentions. What I quoted is true, apply it however you would like.

My bad for assuming an agnostic would not believe either in sin in a biblical sense, or that homosexual sex was one.

For an Agnostic to assert to be true any action of a God one claims to be unsure even exists, is mystifying.

Interesting dude, you must be.

I rescind my snap, burn and scorch.

Be well.

Anyone who hasn't been swindled out of part of his ability to see the obvious has that, because it's self-evidently wrong.

What exactly is a "moral decision" in this context?

Not to side track too far but, as I've commented before, I'm starting a conversion process and I do not feel I should fly any icons until I have actually officially converted. I guess I could change it to seeker but... meh, I sort of like being mysterious.

What? Objective evidence?

What exactly is a "moral decision" in this context?

Morals are subjective, so it really doesn't matter if he tells you.

Actually yes, there is need to be subtle. It helps people take you seriously. This is evident because nobody so far in this thread seems to have taken you seriously.

Oh, I take him seriously. He votes for Presidents.

No it doesn't. Same-gender sex is inappropriate for Christians to engage in. Read Romans chapter 2 for the evidence.

Logic? LOGIC?

It is not logical to promote the idea that gay culture and/or same-gender sex acts are compatible with the testimony of the Apostles. What we call New Testament truth.

It is logical though, for Christians, to hold to marriage as Jesus taught it, as man and woman. Immutably so.

Logically.

The objective evidence is that gay culture is antithetical to Christian life.
