I heard a preacher recently give an interesting definition of sin:
"Sin is the act of taking something by force, that God would give by grace."
For example, look at the sexually immoral. God gives us the pleasure of sex saved for within the marriage bed, but people use force to experience it elsewhere, where God says it is a sin, and where there are hurts behind it.
Do people agree with this definition? Is there anywhere this definition doesn't apply.
Any other definitions?
