I couldn't agree more. How can people watch these children cry as corpses rot in the streets, people staving and suffering, and say it was deserved? Which sick frame of mind produces thoughts like these? It is disgusting.

Angel4truth,

I think Hurricane Katrina was judgement. I think it has double meaning. Yes the US strong armed the Israelis to give up the land God said was His over to the muslims. So I think God forced people out of their land in New Orleans (America).

I also think God allowed or sent Hurricane Katrina to New Orleans because of sin. Yes, the city of New Orleans have some innocent people in it, but for the most part it was a very evil place.

I'm thinking about the wicked behavior that was welcomed every year at Madi Gras, the Southern Decandence weekend that welcomes thousands and thousands of homosexuals to "party" there, the VooDoo shops, the gambling casinos, etc.

It's true that there are many other wicked cities in America, but New Orleans was full of evil concentrated in one small place.

I hope that place will change for the good, but I doubt it. Only a few days after the hurricane hit, they were talking about Madi Gras again. God is long- suffering, but some people never learn.

I looked up the word Katrina myself and it means pure. I do think God was trying to get people's attention to clean that place up. Sadly they as a whole are not listening.

This was small compared to what is coming. Those who belong to Christ Jesus need to get into the ark of God where there is safety.

First I found out most people who say Hurricanes are judgement, never been through one. Hurricanes are awful, I went through some of Rita and I'm still having nightmares. And I'm wondering how can people say this is GOD'S judgement? Because of hurricanes people die, children lose love ones, people starve, lose their homes. And if that is GOD'S judgement then maybe he isn't such a nice guy. New Orleans isn't the only place that has sin. Texas, Mass, New York, Florida, Jamica, Japan, England, Asia and all the other countries have sin. Some countries don't even believe in GOD. I will agree that New Orleans was pretty bad though, but if Wilma stays on the path she is heading she will be going to New Orleans. But if she takes a different path she could hit Texas, which would make me and other southerns suffer. Hurricanes aren't judgement of GOD but things that just happen. Sinners aren't the only ones who suffer because of hurricanes. Thousands of christians do. I find it sad that people want others to suffer so they can have their rapture. Tons of hurricanes and earthquakes would be totally awful, not just for the sinners but the christians. And if the earth is destory so will animals, plants and nature who don't hurt anyone. This has been a very hard year, and another massive hurricane can hit Texas or Lousianna soon. If that happens, will I believe in GOD? I really don't know, I would think he would give people a rest.

Can't anyone see this for what it is?
This is just taking advantage of the deaths of innocent people . The fact this guy is a RABBI should be putting up red flags - this guy isn't christian, he doesn't actually beleive in any of this stuff, he's just manipulating christians into sending more of that beloved MONEY and support to the israeli.
Don't pay any attention to his rubbish.

Looks like I'm the only one, lets see how Jesus might have felt about this . . .

"Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites! For ye pay tithes of mint, anise and cumin and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith." Matthew 23:23

matt 22: 10- 12 10Jesus went into the temple in Jerusalem and became furious when he saw that traders, vendors, dove merchants and money changers had established themselves there. 11Jesus was very upset and said to them, "It is written: 'The temple is to be a place of teaching and a place of contemplation.' But you make it into a den of thieves." 12In his anger he overturned the tables of the money changers and the chairs of the dove merchants; and he drove them all out with a donkey driver's whip.

Per Jesus (written in Red):

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Matthew 24:7, 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Revelation 2:22, 23 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Revelation 3:21, 22 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 22:20 ... Surely I come quickly.

So........ I (looking4hiscoming) say what the apostle John said:

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Amen to that. Those of us who Do read and study our Bibles get accused of wanting others to suffer "so we can have our rapture" and all other sorts of things. There is definately a famine of God's Word being taught.

I've read my Bible a lot. And this kind of Old Testament vicious ******* of a god has nothing to do with Jesus.

That is definatley not what Jesus taught, and is totally inconsistant with the christian religion. If you do not identify Jesus with the Old testament and the God of the old testament then you have thrown a significant amount and very important part of the christian theology.

Just wondering if anyones mind has changed since the original post and 2 more hurricanes have hit the united states , particularly after our president and condoleeza rice has stated that Israel now needs to give up 90 percent of the west bank even though the palestinian violence hasnt stopped and there has just been another suicide bombing .

I believe this nation has been very blessed because its always been a friend to Israel , that is untill this president ........ and it looks to me like God is removing His hand from the protection of this nation .

My mind hasn't changed, the same amount of hurricanes hit last year. And it does hurt me when people say these hurricanes are GOD'S judgement. It makes me cry that people would say stuff like that, it's almost like they are wishing bad on others for their sins. If GOD is after sinners how come he doesn't attack las vegas? From what I heard Las Vegas is the land of sin. Exept for Katrina, these hurricanes hit in a pretty decent part of the U.S. I know lots of Christians where Rita hit.

We had this many hurricanes hit the U.S in 2004 and in 1933, and I think 1966 I really don't know the year. I don't think these are GOD's judgement, it's just nature playing out.

....and "something real big" to hit half of CALIFORNIA, just about all of NEW YORK, DALLAS-FT. WORTH TEXAS, D.C (as a whole), VEGAS, matter of a fact all of NEVADA (the legal harlotdome state), North LOUISIANA (largest KKK/militant cell in the US), DETROIT, TIAJUANA, BRAZIL, RIO DE JANERO, and CHINA.

Mardi Gras and the Decadence Day parade ain't got nuthin' on some of the above and what goes on there....

I repeat again - folks better get to moving - E'RYBODY on this board lives near something that could get YOU destroyed too.....

Granted, I *DO* believe it's a sign of the beginning of the end. However, the hurricane by no means singled out the red light districts. Frankly, the French Quarter didn't get the worst of it at all, and that place needs some Sodom & Gomorrah treatment. The idea that it's because we pressured Israel out of Gaza, though, is a little absurd. There's a bill in Congress to give Israel $2.2 BILLION in free American taxpayer money to pay for the Gaza withdrawal. That comes to about $50,000 per relocated Israeli. Man, I wish Congress would give me that kind of aid...I would gladly relocate 16 miles. Besides that, I fail to understand why God didn't strike down every country in the world who doesn't give Israel free money every year, when we do.

...and I will say this one mo 'gen....

IF GOD wanted to destroy NOLA he would have. FLAT. No rebuilding in this day and age. THAT is the idea I get from the BIBLE that he is going to do. Destroy past rebuilding until he returns. Not destroy, with a chance/opportunity at rebuilding.....

GOD doesn't half-step!
