From Biblegateway:
Psalm 104:8 (KJV)
They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
Oh my! Has the bible been altered? Seems like a good argument for not taking any part of the bible as literal. Thank you.

Kudos. You finally figured out that if you make a claim, the onus is on you to support it. Looking at Psalm 104, it is about the Creation, not about the Flood. This analysis agrees.

* [Psalm 104] A hymn praising God who easily and skillfully made rampaging waters and primordial night into a world vibrant with life. The psalmist describes God’s splendor in the heavens (Ps 104:1–4), how the chaotic waters were tamed to fertilize and feed the world (Ps 104:5–18),
-----------------
* [104:5–9] God places the gigantic disk of the earth securely on its foundation and then, as a warrior, chases away the enveloping waters and confines them under, above, and around the earth.
Sorry, but that verse does not support your assertions about the Flood.
It's the continental shelf which was not under water 12,000 years ago, not a hole, and that doesn't even take into account everything above the shelf.
I know its not rocket science, its Earth Science, a field I am a professional in and you are completely ignorant of.
I'm glad I never had you as a teacher. I don't want to be taught misinformation.
I really don't care if you think it's about the creation...Seriously, I don't.
God said the mountains can rise and valleys sink. As that verse suggest there is a promise it won't happen again.
Let me see you move the earth.
You're entitled to your theory....but it's not what the bible present or what the geological record presents.
The mountains were much smaller...small enough for the waters to cover them.
Valleys sank and mountains rose.
The strata we see contain fossils of dead animals coverd by the flood deposits.
But as I said, you're entitled to filter the bible through mans science.
It's prettty obvious you didn't look very hard.
Psalms 104:8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them.
From Biblegateway: as the mountains rose up,
and the valleys went down—
to the place you appointed for them.
Theistic Evolutionist creed:
1) We don't believe the bible.
Where is your 3rd book? The bible?
It's the lack of evidence for a flood that's doing the denying not science.
You know, one of the things that has troubled me about a particular denomination I was a member of once is that those ministers had a very progressive habit of citing numerous different scriptures supposedly pertaining to the topic of their sermon, which had absolutely nothing to do with the point they were presenting.Kudos. That's your perception due to confirmation bias. Choose what you like and ignore everything that shows it to be wrong.Dude, your time line means nothing to me...as it is incorrect.
Science shows no evidence of a global flood that covered all the land. Can you cite a published paper in a professional scientific journal that is about denying Noah's Flood? I won't hold my breath.I'm an OEC/Gap believer. Science denies the flood. I believe it, but I don't think it was the flood envisioned by you or most others.
No, if there were a global flood that covered all the land on earth there would be an enormous amount of evidence.True, the flood wouldn't have left much evidence.

Why are you saying a global flood wouldn't have left such evidence?A global flood, as described in the story, wouldn't have left such evidence, so it is perfectly ok to assume that the flood didn't happen.
1.) We believe the Earth is 6,000 years old.
2.) We believe that biologists have no idea what they are talking about.
3.) We believe that Darwin was the Devil Incarnate.
4.) We believe that astrophysicists have no idea what they are talking about.
5.) Right, that's the really important stuff out of the way, and now we had better say something about God.
