  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Keil: Hi BG - don't bounce off the walls toooooo hard. :^) So how did you acquire your machinery of massive mastication and source of sugar survival? Special delivery or personal messenger?

Timothy: Hey bubblegirl. Are you trying to say that you have gas?

Of course I have gas - everyone does. It's a scientific fact people expel a minimum of 1Litre of gas from that end every day. And those who hold them in do it in their sleep. I read about it on a webpage about wind.

Keil, my parents run errands and shop for me. I ring to make arrangements for things to be wrapped & kept for me and my parents pick them up.

Hi Cathy - doesn't look like I'll be cooking much today. I have leftovers from going out yesterday. On the other hand, I may wind up the bread maker today - I found my breadmaker book!
I like to make Banana Bread and Cranberry Fruit Bread.
Mostly during the winter/holiday season.

Almost forgot, Hi Keil

Hey Keil can you make "chunky" bread in that bread maker? I mean like the many, multi-grain, seed and nut kinds of breads... my ultimate favorite. Home baked bread and butter are a winner for me, not had that in ages.
That's the rumor, Cindy - I have a breadmaking book that says it's possible. Today's effort was rosemary and raisin bread with some sliced almonds thrown in. I had to punt at the last minute and add water, but it came out just fine.

Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked bread. I love home made bread, only, it never lasts me very long. :yum: I also make my own pizza dough and sauce. It has gotten to the point where I won't order out for pizza any more, just make my own.

Sounds like an interesting combination, what made you think of rosemary, raisin and almonds? I bet the smell would be heavenly!!! :)

If I throw a party will you bring the bread? ^_^

Well I started with rosemary and raisin from my book - I like the european and italian breads. I had the almond slices on hand and they were a variation. It does smell _really_ good. I'm thinking of making mini pizzas tomorrow night - tomato sauce and cheese on toasted rosemary bread.
The first loaf was more dense, but the flavors were more intense - I like the first one best.

As for getting me to bring bread to a party, first you have to hold it in a state where I am! Thanks for the invite!

What about the Single Cafe? There's always a party there... hehe :p Or else I'd just have to make the 'sacrifice' to be in the beautiful mountainous area you live in... oh what a sacrifice... ^_^

Well, yes, I just suffer through the 300 days of sunshine a year I get, and you can see the mountains from up the hill at the end of my street. I'll see them next on my way to church tomorrow.... :^)

It is a semi-arid area, though, so my Kentucky blue grass isn't doing so well, go figure. I need to get some buffalo grass or something, and maybe get my soil in the front yard replaced - it's a bit sandy.
