A Challenge

Hey! I've been working on a sewing project that I want to get done so I've been online just long enought to feed Griselda and lurk just a little bit. Things are starting to color up and cool down here and the local Fair is about to start. I'm going to see Three Dog Night on Saturday and will probably be taking in alot of the Festival so next week will be a fun one.

I've been spending the evening drawing maps of Virginia between Roanoke and the places I'm going this weekend.

[Having come in, it's post time] Last night was an odd one - Have you ever had one of those nights where your mind keeps going and going and going and you find yourself hovering just inside the edge of sleep and know that you're just about asleep? I was on the edge of lucid dreaming for hours. Not the most restful!

However now I'm up and enjoying the morning granola. Off to work in a few.

I hate having nights like that because when I don't get my sleep...I'm not the nicest person to be around (just ask my kids) lol

Cool note going by - The X-Prize space system, SpaceshipOne just went off - Lord willing we'll see this one hit the goal. Having commercial and much more simple aerospace would be a good thing. It wouldn't hit the heavy lifter business for a while (used to work for Lockheed Martin)

Hey Keil, Roanoke (and that area of Virginia) was flooded yesterday, thanks to the remnants of Jeanne. Is there anyone you can call to check on your conference location to make sure things are alright there? From what I understand, things were pretty bad yesterday and still in bad shape today.

I am about 2 hours from Roanoke and it was all over our local news this morning about the devastation. The big football field in Roanoke, Victory Stadium, had water up to the bottom of the goal posts last night.

Yeah Griselda is my snail. Isn't she cute? I've been working on a vest. It's made of embroidered suede cloth with a sky blue satin lining. It will be really sharp when I get it done. Well got to get ready to go to church. Later guys.

We're planning to be up in the mountains by Millboro Springs, way up at the top of a hill. Any news from that area or Lynchburg?

Yeah. Griselda is the latest model SP 2004.930 electronic snail. All the xtras and she can do 1/18 inch per sec if you feed her a cabbage now and then.

So you gonna cook me and Griselda some Japnese Italian food soon? Had that one time at a friends house. Calamari sushi. It was pretty good but the tentacles would'nt hold the marinara sauce very well.

Happy camper am I - when I first heard about snow today up at Loveland Pass!

And then I heard that gas prices are going up 10-15% this winter.... Looks like I close off the back of the house again this winter and put up the plastic.

Snowflakes are still good, though!
