  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I dont know if this is this the right place to ask this, but I hope it will not give moved, because it could offend someone of a NON Christian faith. :help:

Since Jewish religion does not believe in Jesus, do they think another Messiah is coming? If so, what are they expecting?
Since Jewish people do not believe in Jesus, do they still offer sacrafices? and if not WHY NOT?
Do they repent like Christians?

Do you think some of the scripture that warns about "someone else claiming to be the Messiah" Isnt just about the antichrist, but about the Jewish faith claiming to have/find their messiah?

What part of the bible do the Jewish faith accept?
Or do they have their own bible?

Thanks for listening to my questions.

Yes, it's my understanding that they are still awaiting their messiah. They believe(d) that the messiah would rescue them from political captivity and establish a kingdom. They were not expecting him to arrive as a humble servant, but to be more of a king on earth.

I believe they stopped offering sacrifices when the Jewish temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.

Yes. I have a friend who is Jewish, and she said during Yom Kippur/Rosh Hashannah they ask for forgiveness for future sins for the upcoming year.

These warnings are in the New Testament, and Jews do not accept the NT as scripture.

The Old Testament is the Jewish scripture, with the Torah being the first five books of the OT, written by Moses.

Thanks for listening to my questions.

No problem. Hopefully I've helped a bit. You might want to post this in the Messianic forum. I hope I've answered correctly. If not, someone please correct me!
