I don't think this is true. We know Jesus is FAR tougher than the devil - no comparison can be made between the creator and the created. However, some also know that satan is the god of this present world (and will be until the 7th trumpet) and as the spiritual leader of earth has power over all who don't know Jesus. In fact, he exercises power over believers IF they let him.

The truth is, God can do very little on earth UNLESS a believer prays with faith. Why? Because Satan has authority here except when a believer takes it away from him. Does this make Satan big and Jesus small? Not at all. We all know Satan's time is coming when he will be cast down.
There is multiple scripture that shows the redeemed have power over Satan in this new covenant period. There is not one that says he has power over us. AMEN!

Jesus indeed defeated the devil on His cross, and that sealed the ultimate prophecy of Satan's fate to perish in the lake of fire. But Peter in 1 Peter 5:8 showed Satan was not bound, nor cast out of this world yet at the cross.

That "Hereafter" is in the NT manuscripts. It points to after the cross. And indeed, after the cross our Lord Jesus appeared and spoke with His disciples for a short period afterwards. That moves the event of Satan "cometh" to some time after the cross.



The actual time Rev.12:7 forward shows when Satan is cast down to the earth is for the tribulation. The event of Archangel Michael making a "stand" in Daniel 12:1 is in association with that Rev.12:7 war. And what follows in Dan.12:1 is the time of trouble the world has never seen before, nor ever will again, i.e., the tribulation.

Lo and behold, revelation 12 ties both together, satan is cast out heaven at the ascension of Christ and thrown to earth where he persecutes the people of God.

Your theory is right, but your timing is 2000 years off. Revelation 12 timing is seconds after the midpoint of the FUTURE 70th week.

All Revelation 20 is demonstrating is: before the first resurrection, the Gentiles were in darkness, after that the Gospel light removed the ignorance. This came in the form of the great commission. Satan is powerless to curtail the global invasion of his kingdom. He is powerless to stop the Church of Jesus Christ. He is restrained in spiritual chains in a spiritual prison. Repeated Scripture shows that the Church has now been given spiritual power over Satan to bind his power, spoil his goods, damage his kingdom and thwart his plans.

Sorry, NOT added, just understanding. Did I SAY it was "the 7th trumpet?" I did not. I said that the 7th trumpet would be Michael's SIGNAL. For millennials of time Michael had had to show respect for Satan But the 7th trumpet will be his signal that it is time for war. Of course the war won't start at that instant! It will take some time for Michael and His hosts of angels to move - but it will probably be a very small amount of time.
