It's more or less what we talked about the other day concerning Bible teaching etc. except I may go more on the devotional thematic end than doing some expository verse by verse thing I previously mentioned. And go with other kind of biblical or doctrinal thematic topics. This is more for the sense of closure, keeping things tight etc.

Well here is a rough draft

Why did this happen to Me?” :(

Many Christians at some time raise some issue, often a personal issue with Theodicy (The Justice of God). They say such things as “Why did this happen to me?” Or “I have had this issue X amount of years, why has God not answered my prayers?” This type of question is not easy to answer as there can be multiple reasons for these situations. We sometimes screw up for instance and earn some trouble for that; while other times we may be under some form of spiritual attack or persecution. But during these times, I actually like the saying of the Roman poet Ovid who gave advice to a sad friend that neatly summarizes the Biblical advice of saint Paul” in the meme quote below.

But a few points to consider

1) As Christians we often are tempted to forget that Christianity is not a sprint to the finish line but a marathon race (1 Corinthians 9:24-27), and such races are more battles of endurance more than speed.

2) Our life also is a Journey of discovery where we progressively get to know the Lord more as we walk with Him, and often learn more about ourselves and our gifts and callings. People tend to forget, that before Christianity was called “Christianity” at Antioch, in the Book of Acts the Faith was called “the Way” in the book of Acts (Acts 9:2) a name that was directly lifted from the Torah following Jews of the Old Testament.

3) The various wounds we receive in life, actually can define us in a way that is an improvement on the original. Many Americans in the last few years have been introduced to the Japanese art of pottery restoration, called Kintsugi. This practice uses gold mixed in the glue when repairing a broken plate so that newly repaired plate by being damaged and repaired becomes more beautiful than the original piece. This is also true of our own lives, if we allow Jesus to heal us from all the past hurts; because, he has promised to “make all things new” (Isaiah 43:18,Isaiah 43:19, Revelation 21:5,Isaiah 65:17) and that includes us!

OK one more addition than I'm probably done.

Controlling the tongue and spiritual growth

I guess my goals are more or less sliding back to what I was doing before except being a little more intentional (namely the more undefined goal of simply helping people with my gift of teaching, encouragement etc.) I like writing, Blogging etc. but can be demotivated by it when you put a lot of effort into with little or no reads etc. Which is why, I really do like the boards here, and especially the Advice board where you know at least one person is really benefiting and engaged with what you are talking about.

Be a better friend.
I love my friends but I do believe I neglect them much too often.
I want to be the best servant of Christ I can, and friendship is a big part of that.

I truly want and need to learn to turn to God above all else,I am lonely
alot and was recently blocked from facebook from a friend of mine for texting her too much.
For some reason I tend to get clingy with people when I grow close to them. Its been pointed out by several close friends of mine I try to fill the void with friends, when I should really be reaching out to God more. I agree and know I need to change,I just dont know how.

For me both my physical and spiritual life I would like to apply this verse. Isaiah 30:15
To learn how to be still. To be patient. To be quiet. And to be confident.
