Self sufficiency in all levels are key!

Haha yeah what can I say - I love and respect everybody :D

That’s wonderful. Fellowshipping with other men will help you grow. Iron sharpens iron.

I learned a lot through study and prayer. I saturated my Spirit with Him and grew immensely.

Really? I’d better watch out. ~lol

Took the test "for fun".

Exhortation, mercy, giving. I kind of knew that, but for whatever reason I shy away from thinking too much of my gifts. There is a form of pride in me, in these things too, and I don't want to let it out.

About the gifts, they're there if I think about them or don't, so I mostly don't and I let it happen. It comes naturally with a lot of good kind of pressure and drive, and it's the main reason I hang around in these forums. Sometimes I struggle with finding the right things to say for certain kinds of people, and how to get through, and I do some projecting which I always shouldn't do. But I want broken people to feel and know that there is mercy and grace for them. I need and hunger for mercy myself, and I believe I will hunger for it until the day I die, so I will never forget where all of it really comes from. If I ever lose that perception and get proud, I will be put in my place, that I know from experience. I hope that I haven't driven people away from hope, especially on these forums, since my posts are often insanely long and possibly confusing rambles because I want to put everything on the table I have to say (and of course there's the language barrier, I overcompensate a bit with too many words). I don't want people to feel like I'm arguing with/against them - but sometimes, people insist they are doomed and irredeemable, and I will fight that notion as much as I can. The Lord will grow these things in me how He wishes and grant me more understanding, so I can learn from my mistakes, and embrace people better, as they are.

Good thread, interesting to read these.

Similar to Magneto? Have you seen biblical references to this?

Nope, not like that lol. Much more subtle and the effect could glitch computers.

For example, cause computers to shutdown simultaneously and would refuse to turn on. After some time, it would function normally again like nothing happened.

In most extreme example, it would cause a smart phone to spontaneously turn off and turn on and rapidly drain its batteries. At one point, few cars in the neighborhood lost battery power simultaneously.

I can predict when it will manifest... When it does, I try to get away from computers as possible. Computers are my lifelihood, the irony. It wouldn't be any good to me if my abilities wreck my work all the time.

Because much of modern infrastructure is now governed by digital electronics, the effect goes beyond computers and could cause blackouts in a wide area in worst circumstances.

Weather is also influenced by ambient electrical energy in the atmosphere. So local weather changes are to be expected as well.

In your opinion, how does this glorify God?

It seems a bit damaging/potentially destructive at first. But keep in mind, Moses has been given destructive gifts as well.

The gift is evolving / adapting. Most recently, it seems to be starting to interface with computers without causing any disruption.

Right now, the effect is very limited but is allowing me to access information from a computer without any physical interaction but on a very limited bases

The effect is also attempting to control computers just by me looking at it, without having to touch the mouse, nor the keyboard. It's trying to give me remote interface of any computer / smart device.

Very strange gift to be sure. I dreamed about it before. It's in my blood.

I realized now my gift might be related to the "Sign of Jonah".

I think on twice occassions Jesus was on the water or on the boat, the weather grew rough. This also happened to Jonah.

This is no coincidence. The fishermen disciples of Christ are seasoned boatsmen. They should know if the weather would turn bad and could easily decide whether to travel by boat or on foot (just walk around the shore of Sea of Galilee). They couldn't predict/forecast what is supernatural.

I have several cases where I traveled to a place, severe thunderstorms formed. Some of them spawned tornadoes. One multiple. Including places that very rarely experience tornadoes.

The funny thing in high school, I applied to a maritime academy. I wanted to become a ship captain as a career. But my parents voted against it. They thought I was too frail to survive the academy and would be bullied or harrassed by other cadets. Might be for the best or I'll end up being thrown into a stormy sea by my own crew considering how sailors can be very superstitious! Sailing into strings of storms, they would notice!

I don’t know where to begin. There’s no biblical occurrence that shines light on what you’ve shared. Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit to benefit the kingdom.

I’m struggling to figure out God’s role in what you’ve described and its impact on believers and those who don’t know Him.

What you’ve mentioned is more commonly attributed to the paranormal. I had experiences before I came to Christ. But they were different from what takes place today.

Perhaps for a special reason and purpose or specific times.

Special gifts like for Moses, John the Baptist, the Two Witnesses, etc.

ONE BENEFIT - I could sometimes fix computer problems just by looking at it. If a place actually desperate for lots of rain.....

That and the weather phenomenon, I had one Arab Muslim co-worker thinks I'm a prophet. Probably a good thing.

Do you see parallels in your life in those examples?

For instance, I’ve always had an affinity for David and Paul. My approach to faith and purpose have a lot of similarities to theirs.

But I was given four females in my quiet time. Each represents a gift and aspect of my calling in some way. Biblically speaking, I’m supposed to look to mature of women of faith as examples.

Have you spoken to a spiritual advisor about this?

One way to find out what your spiritual gift is, would be to find a place to serve and see if your gift fits your service, whatever that is. Those whom you are serving will undoubtedly and accurately identify your gift for you. There is a level of pride it boasting our our gifts, they are not from us, but rather from God. They are gifts from the Holy Spirit of God, not "affinities" we choose for ourselves...

I don't see any gifts in my life. I'm not really interested in having some gift, because it seems a burden. Being Christian is hard enough already in this world.
That's why He gives gifts.

Moses in particular and possibly Enoch too.

I don't know how but our digital technology and internet has a huge part in it is what I keep seeing in the dreams, sometimes, with the Lord explaining stuff about it.

It's not a gift then, if it's about your worth instead of the generosity and good will of the One who gives.
Well, we can split hairs, but let me just say - I don't think spiritual gifts are real. Just my opinion based on what I've seen. I think there's a lot of wishful thinkers, but so far I haven't met anyone who has anything I'd call a gift, and even then those people are extremely rare. The odds of a huge number of people in one place (here) having gifts is statistically impossible.
