I can start by sharing some lyrics from a love song I wrote while back. The song wasn't about finding a companion, but rather about the journey and hope of finding that one special person one day.

Cold night all 'a sudden as I stare into the sky.

Anthony, that went right to my heart what you wrote. It gave me
goosebumps! It makes me wonder what else you've written.
The Robert Frost words did zero for me, then I read yours!

Thank you! I didn't expect such a response. It was hard to post because it is very personal. But, it is very honest and genuine.

I've also written a couple other songs. This thread might be a great outlet to work on lyrics for a brand new song as well. =)

I was lamenting the loss of a girlfriend, my Dad thought it was comical. Boy, if you have never been hungry can you appreciate food, if you've never been thirsty, can you appreciate what it means to have water? I reluctantly agreed, a discussion from our reading of, "The Devil and Daniel Webster", by the way. He said, 'how can you appreciate love if you never had to live without it'.

It's not much but it's my two cents worth.

I've written a lot of song lyrics myself, but only a couple are about love because you know me, I've always been way more into friendship than (romantic) love. There's a love song I thought of back in 2011 but never got to writing for some reason. All I thought of is the chorus, which goes like this:

Yeah I know that I will love you for the rest of my life
Yeah I will never never never leave you
Yeah I know that I will love you for the rest of my life
Yeah I will never never never leave you

@Anthony7 Actually I was thinking of serenading my future Lady Knight with Frank Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night" one night soon after we were married, like, when she came home and didn't expect me to be there already waiting to surprise her. ... Not sure how I will pull it off believably, but maybe the effort alone will be appreciated by her, especially if I don a fedora for effect.
