we are told that God gives the power to get wealth, but for a specific purpose, 'that he may establish his covenant which he swore to the fathers, as it is this day.
But His kingdom is spiritual. Money can not, truly, establish His spiritual kingdom. It is like how a king is not saved by a great army. The true wealth is His grace which produces His riches in us. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (in 2 Corinthians 12:9) Paul could do God's purpose, no matter what his circumstance > Philippians 4:10-13.
However, God does use money

But any person in whatever state can do what is for His kingdom. I think of how Abraham so rich went with his son up on the mountain top and offered up his son Isaac. How much money did that take? But what results did he get? >
"'In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.'" (Genesis 22:18)
So, not his wealth, but his obedience, has gotten "all the nations of the earth" "blessed"!!! And how much publicity did he get, in order to accomplish this??

What is in the sight of God is what works > including our example of how godly women's example in the sight of God, I understand, can win a disobedient hubby > 1 Peter 3:1-4.
This means, then, I consider - - - your obedience and example in the sight of God can do more than the effort and money of many people, plus your living for God can do more than all the efforts of all the ungodly presidents and kings combined of all history. So, if we spend much time on broadcasting what wrong people do, supposing this will change things . . . obedience works

Because God uses our obedience.
God can and will certainly use wealth to accomplish His purposes.
With obedience in what we do with our wealth . . . or not having so much > God is not limited to how much we have, but there is how much God is able to do with it.
He gave Solomon great wealth.
And yet, look what Solomon eventually did with his wealth and fame. So, if he could break down, like that, how much of a person was he, when he got all the wealth? I trust that God is able to change our character so we become godly and therefore not able to break down, like that; and this "would" be much more valuable.
"The money does not change the hearts."
For me and my understanding of all that the Scriptures tell us, God had a specific purpose in calling Abram. He was going to establish through him a nation of people to be His emissaries upon the earth. For that purpose, God gave Abraham great wealth. That's what the Scriptures are saying about the wealth given to Abraham. That it's purpose was used of God to establish His covenant.
It does say that. But I think his obedience is what really made things work. The wealth helped with certain practical things.
And Jesus on the cross, by His obedience, did more > Romans 5:19.
