CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If they are not pressuring you into anything, and they are all of age then I think your best bet may be to leave the group or at least when it comes time to go to the bar. I understand that this may sound like a petty issue, but if they are all of age, are not taking it to excess ( getting drunk,) and not pressing you into anything, then really it seems unreasonable for you to asks them to stop going to the bar and drinking. Now, supposing that they are doing it some place else say a get together you all have like a holiday dinner or at your place, or out to eat somewhere where then are plenty of other options then I think it MAY be OK to say do not drink around me, but at a bar and of age there is not much you can do.
