Y'all know who I think this is? What other extremely odd creationist on these forums frequently claims that the laws of physics weren't the same in the past?

I'd say that posting such nonsense is an almost natural consequence of taking in too much hoovie, err, hovind babble. From what I did read of peruvian's absurd claims before I set him to "ignore" could just as well have come from hovind, really. Most of it probably did come from him. I'd try and check that, but I've listened to about four hours of hoovie nonsense lately. I need to get over that overexposure first.

“Local” can still be very extensive, and large local flooding can be catastrophic. So out running it may not have been possible. That is of course if Noah and the ark was not an allegory.

Flood plains flood all the time. Why should we not assume that particular one flooded catastrophically at some time? There exists evidence of wide scale flooding in various regions in the ancient world.

There is no evidence for a global flood, there is not sufficient water for a global flood, and we don’t see the sedementation we would expect of a global flood. The bible was written by man not God, and to a human perspective if everything you know and can see is flooded would it not seem to you the whole world had flooded?

but we can easily demonstrate that all these things exist. you cannot do that for noah or his ark. there is no evidence whatsoever that there was ever a global flood, in fact it would be an impossibility for many reasons.

I agree with what someone suggested a long time ago. I think Peruvian is not a person, he is a computer simulation of a stereotypical fundamentalist (or as I like to refer to them as “Prattling PRATT spouting fun-for-mentalists”

I still hold that no discussion should even be attempted with Peruvian. He doesn't obey the same laws of logic as everyone else does. His thinking is alien and nothing can be done about it. A fine example of a lost cause.
