7 Day creation- literal or figurative?

If nothing can be figurative in the Bible, this is a strange religion indeed.

Did Mary give birth to a door?

Not saying what you have to take figuratively and what you don't, but don't tell someone who understands a passage figuratively that they don't believe the words of Scripture unless you're willing to admit that Jesus was a literal door.

And I don't know about others, but my God would never punish someone unless they understood the consequences for disobedience. I know what death is because it happens all the time. How would Adam understand what it was unless he saw animals born, live their lives and die.

No, my God would never arbitrarily punish someone if they couldn't comprehend what the punishment entailed.

So I find it hard to accept Adam was created on the sixth day, named all the animals that day as well. plus knew what death was without knowing any evil or experiencing it. No, quite unlikely.

Adam and Eve BOTH were created at the SAME time and on the SAME Day as is EVERY other Christian. Adam was "formed" on the 3rd Day. Gen 2:4-7....BUT....was not "created" until the 6th Day. Gen 1:27 Eve was made AFTER the beasts of the field and birds on the 6th Day. Gen 2:22 To be "created in God's Image" is to be born again Spiritually, in Christ, and this happened AFTER Cain killed Abel. Gen 5:1-2 Amen?

Correction: God will CEASE creating on the future 7th Day. First, the prophecy of Gen 1:28-31 MUST take place. Today we live at Gen 1:27 since God is STILL creating Adam (mankind) in His Image or Spiritually in Christ, at the end of the present 6th Day/Age, in the creation of the perfect 3rd Heaven.

When God's work is finished or brought to perfection and the 3rd Heaven is filled with ALL of it's host (Christians). God will rest as Gen 2:1-3 clearly states. Until then, He continues to create New Creatures in Christ. He will NOT cease creating until the last sinner to be saved is saved. God Bless you

Amen. Adam NEVER took a step on Planet Earth. He lived and died on the FIRST Heaven/firmament, which was made the 2nd Day. Gen 1:6-8 Our Heaven/Universe was NOT made until the 3rd Day. Gen 2:4

Not to those who don't consider the Holy Spirit to be God. Jesus is ALSO God. Did He rest (cease creating) in the beginning? Or is He STILL working today as He told us in Jhn 14:2? Jesus ALSO told us that His Father continues to work "hitherto" or up to the present time. Only those who don't consider Jesus to be God believe that He rested for 24 hours in the beginning but hasn't rested since.

Jhn 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, (Greek-up to the present time) and I work.

Please show chapter and verse where God rested from ALL of His work in the beginning as Gen 2:2-3 repeat. You cannot, but go ahead and try. It will help others to understand what is actually written. Amen?

Jesus IS the Literal Door to the 3rd Heaven since He is the ONLY way there. Act 4:12 Amen?

For the second time tonight....Gen 2 tells us "1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed,and all their hosts. 2 By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done"

That's what the bible says. Maybe your bible doesn't say completed.

The rest presented in Gen 2:1-2 PERTAINS to the previous six days. There is no reference to future work.

Not so. Here is the way the Bible is organized.

The entire History of God's 6th Day creation, including future events, such as when Jesus changes ALL living creatures into vegetarians, as Gen 1:30 states, is total and complete in the first chapter of the Bible. The first 3 verses of Genesis two tell us of a future Day when God rests from ALL of His work. It's the 7th Day and it has no end, nor "evening" because it's Eternity.

Every other verse in Scripture refers back to one of the 7 Days or Ages of God's creation of the perfect Heaven. It's that simple.

It's the doctrine of the last days before Jesus returns and can only be understood by born again Christians who live in the present time when knowledge has increased. God told Daniel HOW to hide His Truth until now.

Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

What this increased knowledge reveals is that Genesis AGREES in every way with every discovery of Science and History currently known. It also shows us what will happen AFTER Jesus returns at Armageddon. This is the manner in which God has chosen to fulfill the following Prophecy:

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon ALL FLESH: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Scientists and Unbelievers ALL will be told of God's Truth (Spirit) just before the Church is Raptured. It is NOW that time. God Bless you

Also, the Hebrew word for rested from ALL of His work is written in Hebrew Imperfect Tense, which means the action is not yet complete. Trying to understand it without study of the original meaning of the Hebrew word is confusing, especially to English speaking people. God hid His Truth in the future discoveries of our time. It's proof of God.

When you present doctrine that says..."Adam NEVER took a step on Planet Earth."...one really has to wonder about your doctrine. Especially when it is woven into what you have already presented.

I just told you that He is the only way.

So you believe Jesus Christ, as he walked on this earth, was a literal door. People would see Him walking down the street and marvel, saying, "Among all these people, there's a door walking down the road right now"?
