CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We can never forget that the Devil uses people and systems to get his work done. Even when we are told that the devil sought to kill the manchild as he was born it was not the devil literally but Herod doing the devils work. So the Beasts do not have to be the devil himself.

What does the difference between where the first and second beast arise mean to anyone of you. The first beast come out of the sea and the second out of the earth. What is the significance of that?

There has been many threads on this and i'm going to go along with the majority view , and that is that the sea means gentile nations and the earth means Israel.

Hi....there sure is a lot of OPINION here about who is who...
the first beast is a multiheaded political faction (NWO-Babylon-revised Roman empire)
this first beast is in place for the arrival of the second beast, who is an individual....
disguised as the lamb, while being the dragon, as in Rev13:11.
the antiChrist will be revealed by Jesus' Coming (2Thes2) as being the son of Perdition who is Satan according to Isaisa14 and Ez28.
so will be implimented by the second beast, the entity Satan....
but it is a thing of the mind, not a mechanical chip...
Satan is a coming to fool the world...pretend to be Christ returned....and if you worship him as such(actually believe that he is Jesus), that is having the mark of the beast....or if you accept his system (first beast) that is likewise having the mark...what you do and what you think...hand/mind.
understand the Seals and you cannot be marked by the beast.
666 refers to the mark that people wear..(a spiritual mark) and has to do with worshiping an individual.

You must take care to notice every prophetic idiom in the book and translate it by the Bible (not your interpretation or mine or theologian VIVIVI). This is not about fortune telling as so many students of eschatology lapse into.
Genesis 22:17

666 refers to the number of the name of the man
(Revelation 13:17b-18) who will be the first beast of
Revelation 13, the Antichrist. While Revelation 13:11

That the False Prophet will figuratively come out of
the earth (Revelation 13:11) could mean that he will
come out of the Christian world. He could be the next
Pope. His two figurative horns (Revelation 13:11)
could represent his also subsequently obtaining a high
position within Islam at the same, which position he
could gain after a successful campaign on his part to
unify Christianity and Islam into (what he could call)
"One religion of peace, one religion of Abraham, one
religion of love for the one God and love for our
fellow man".
666 could be a literal mark which will be placed on
the hand or forehead (Revelation 13:16) through
scarification. It could be made to appear as "777" in
the following way: the 6th letter of the ancient
Hebrew alphabet, which also stood for the number 6,
looks like a 7. One of the ways this "777"-looking
mark (which will actually represent "666") could be
sold is as the mark of the true Christ. At the same
time, since the number 7 can be said to represent
completion, the "777"-looking mark (which will
actually represent "666") could also be sold as
representing one's public declaration of "One's
complete love for God, complete love for one's fellow
man, and complete love for oneself".
What the mark could actually represent (in its true
