“False flag terrorism” occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy.

I think the false blame was implied more than anything else on the right to bear arms, and no one seemed to actually be targeted in this case, but the first thing that came to my mind was Sandy Hook.

But that was laughably shallow, in my opinion. Nothing but emotionally indulgent disinformation and distraction. Dismissing evidence as not being evidence, selective and narrow choice of confrontation points...
This forum deserves better.
