  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

alright my soon to be 5 yr olds bed time is 830. normal routine is bath story and i tuck her in.. she stays awake still til 10 pm some nights and she doesnt take naps ..to my knowledge she doesnt play i never hear any noise in her room and she sleeps with her twin siblings too who are 3 but they go right to sleep..and then she doesnt want to get up before 9 the next morning without a fight.. she will be starting kindergarten next week so will the extra activities wear her out to eventually get on a routine on her own??? none of my other children did this so im not sure where to start to get her into a better routine of getting to sleep at a decent time. anyone have this issue or any advice??

When my oldest started Kdg....she acted like she had mono, lol. She came home everyday and took a nap...and then ate dinner and got a bath and happily crawled into bed for the night. This went on for a month. It just wiped her out. My middle daughter was the same way...exhausted. (my son has two speeds..on and off...he doesn't get tired...he runs until he collapses at night, lol)

My middle daughter doesn't do mornings no matter how much sleep she's had. She's not a morning girl, she tells me daily, lol. She's 9 but to save a battle I still help her dress just to keep her moving. Great kid...hates mornings.

I wouldn't worry too much until you see how she handles getting up for school.

How exciting for her.....kindergarten!

If she's staying awake until 10 but you never hear her, then she's got to be resting so hopefully she will do good when school starts. I imagine it will wear her out and make her want to rest.

This sounds like my 9 year old! She requires ALOT of sleep and never wakes up bouncing. It's sad to say that she took after her Mama. :sorry:
