• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

As you'll know, I had cut a couple weeks ago. Before then I hadn't cut in close to 5 months, and now I think it is past that.

The long amount of time I didn't was a great encouragement to me, but come a year, it will still be, cut once in a year. Cut once in two, and so on.

The thing is, I am afraid if I start over again on a clean slate then I will be thinking about all of the time again and it would be harder on me. So what should I do?

Should I continue with the time I have now?

Should I just pretend that day never happened?

Or should I just start over on day one again?

Hard one. I'd do whatever motivates you to continue towards your recovery. Me I'd start anew simply because I want to really rejoice with how long I've been clean...and I'd always have it the back of my mind..."not really that long cuz remember...blah blah blah" but that's just me. I encourage you to make the best choice for you.

Thanks for you'lls advice!!! I finally made up my mind!!!! Satring August 1st, yesterday, well, actually made up my mind this morning but I didn't cut yesterday :D, I am going to start from day 1 and start over, because I really want to say that I didn't cut in a year!!!!! I don't want to forget the five months I didn't though so here is what I am going to do!!! I always posted and cheered for the days I didn't but I want to make this into a pic thread and post pictures that inspire me. That way, if I feel like giving up, then I can come here and remember the time I did get through. You'll can post pics to if you'll want!!!
