3ABN....anyone watch this channel

For those of you who watch 3ABN regularly is it me or does it present a rural, conservative (dare I say white)version of Adventism. Some of the singers look so stiff like they have no emotion when they sing or as if they are not allowed to move.

Given that they are adding those of non-white nationality at an increasing pace either

a. you are wrong
b. they agree with you
c. they want to please everyone by adding people even if it is just political.

Folks can decide for themselves which one

But my bigger issue is not racial, but that it is generally for an ADVENTIST audience. Too much of the programming is for church members rather than non-members.

That is not to say they don't do evangelism, or don't reach others. They still do. But I wish every program would be examined to see if it is meeting that need. Part of the difficulty is that they get the majority of their funds from Adventist viewers, so it makes sense that they would tailor some of the programming to them.

I think they know that if they are going to appeal to the whole world then they have to be multi-cultural in their programs.

It must reflect a genuine desire to open up the presentations to all races and not restrict the presentation to just white Americans.

Pr John Lomacang CA Murray and others on 3ABN of Arican American decent it would appeal to more people.

It is not perfect but far better mix than what I see on the Hope Channel which is Church run.

It looks like our second cable company in town has now decided to add 3abn as well....not totally final yet, but looks nearly so. Pray for us!
