I'm a 30 year old single female. I've never been on a date nor had any relationships. However, I am willing to go on a date if someone asks. The only problem is that I don't know what guys expect of a woman on the first date. I haven't been asked by anyone but for future reference it would be nice to know. What kind of clothes should you wear, do you need to get a gift?, who pays?, kiss?, should the guy pick you up or should you meet there?, if he picks you up, should he come to the door? Any other tips would be great.

As you read the Bible and read the stories of Ruth, Abigail, and Queen Esther, etc. you learn that being a virtuous woman, Proverbs 31, is the best example of how to be an attractive, godly woman.

I think a better comment is not why are so many women single, but why are so many men single? They've got no excuse.

It's o.k. to be single at 30 , i am 29 and single( lovin it). When you do jump back into dating PLEASE KEEP IN MIND...LOGIC...I mean who comes to your door? Unless he is an 80 year old ma that grew up in the 1920's... O.k. if he comes to your house yeah it's alright if he comes to your door....now a days for a FIRST DATE you prob want to meet him in a public place...It's alright if he opens the door for you, but don't expect it allthe time. I think that can make the independant woman appear helpless.Just out of curiousity ...why are you 30 and have never been on a date? I won't ask why you are single. There's nothing strange about being single, but never been on a date? Don't give me the butter about being "christian". Christians can still date. Are yo shy? Be a little bit more aggressive. If you spot a guy that you want to get to know on a more personal level and you've talked with him before (small talk) ask him on a date. It works. Just a little advice ..
As for the gift...sure bring him a gift, then on the second date he will want another and so on.
-OR-
He will look at you like you fell off a pioneer wagon, he might even think you are a distant cousin of June Beaver from "Leave it to Beaver."
Gosh, no! Gifts are not necessary! Relax and be yourself. As for clothing....It depends on where he takes you. If you go to the movies don't wear your Sunday's Best. Just dress for the occasion.
Good Luck when you do get a date.
