I too wonder how omiting a vowel makes it more glorifying to God. And why don't you say "The L-rd" as well, if you want to be logically consistent?

I omit the vowel, because it forces me to think of Him when I write His Name.

I don't care a whit for "logical consistancy".

I just want to honor my Lord.

I pray that we are done with that subject. Perhaps now we can go back to glorifying God by enjoying his precious Word rather than nitpicking one another. Are we not supposed to love one another just as we are rather than trying to point out the speck in one's eye while ignoring the plank in our own?

If someone has made this a big issue, it is not me. I really do not care what you do. I like to argue logic for fun (I enjoy logic), so that is why I would even ask anything about it. It does not matter either way spiritually, I am sure of that.

You seem to be getting defensive, and that isn't necessary. I'm not attacking you, just wondering how omitting a vowel is honoring. I mean, you have to think of God every time you write the word - or else the word would never be written. And why don't people omit the o from Lord? Not nitpicking or attacking your faith, just curious.
