Last night's episode was Jack-lite. Much less exciting than usual. Next week looks good, though. Can't wait to see Graem cry!

Have they permanently changed the ringtone? The season started off with the usual 4-beat tone. Now, especially on Chloe's phone, it's just a 2-tone ring.

I think it depends on whether the incoming call is internal or external. Desk-to-desk I think is the two-tone ring, but Jack to Chloe would be the normal four-tone one.

But I noticed the two-tone ring when Jack called Chloe.

I just changed the ringtone on my cell phone to the 4-tone ring!

My text message ring tone on my phone is now, and always will be, the four-tone 24 ring. I ain't changing it! 24 needs to change it back.

Jack can't die. He has a contract for what, the next 3 seasons.

I just rewatched my tape and why didn't Jack see that coming from his brother. China must have dulled his senses.

2) I did not think that tonights episode was all the entertaining. But it think it continues to set the mood for the rest of the season.
3) Jack CAN die, the contract may just be talk and turn out to be a rumor.

Yeah, the latest episode was a bit slow. It's crazy how many different plotlines they're packing into this one, it must be some sort of record. Once all the different threads start coming together, things are gonna get pretty intense, I'll bet.

Even then, I get the feeling that this season is gonna be more of an espionage/ /information-gathering one than an actiony one. I'm sure Jack will do plenty of cool things, regardless, but maybe not as much as usual.

Though Jack certainly won't die in this season, I DO think that he'll die at the end of the final one. It's just that kind of show.

I don't think so. China... the rental with his ex-gf/landlady where he watched the news of David Palmer's assassination... prior to that he was presumed dead to trick the Chinese consulate, and we're going back what, almost 3 years to that point?

Well, if you think about it, the whole season takes place in 24 hours... Does one need to shower in 24 hours? At the begining of each season Jacks started somewhere...A Hotel, house he was resting, the chinese prison...

He had a house in the first season, remember? I'm not exactly sure where he was staying in later ones, they never specified.
