Chloe is definitely a good gal...she's just really annoying at times. And yes, she is always inappropriately blunt. But she's still a good character. The show wouldn't be the same without her.

And speaking of Chloe, wasn't the last bit of this weeks episode intense?? Holy moly...I was like screaming at the TV for Chloe to shoot the dude. I was like "go Chloe!" when she took him out. It was great.

I thought he was a fine actor. Playing the role of a flustered teenager is hard to do without being corny. Dina was stellar.

They never revealed his fate, but it's most likely he's dead. And with the series coming to a close and there are enough extraneous characters as it is (Palmer, Chloe, Michelle, Michelle's boyfriend-wannabe) it's doubtful there is room for him if he was alive.

A nice twist, they had to get Aubrey back into it somehow. Even though it seemed hilariously improbable. With as many agents they are sending out to hotspots (and as many who are getting killed)...they only have ONE surgeon on call? Right...

I don't understand why they have that Bill character. There was enough conflict with Michelle being Tony's superior. Bill is just another bland gravely-voiced old guy...and generally a waste of screen-time.

But you know Jack made the right decision of course. It was difficult yes, but still he made the right decision.

I think if Bill weren't there, it would be too easy for them to reconcile and get back together. He's somewhat in the middle, especially now that he's mad at Tony for not letting him in the loop.

My prof (he's hooked too) noticed a few key things worth noting:

When asked when it "dawns" on the east coast, the reply was "7:02am". Remember the season started at 7am this year, so that means we won't know the outcome of the missile situation until next season...or will we? *cue scary music*

Remember the chinese operation? Remember the driver wiping his head and there was some blood? Could it be possible the chinese goverment can link DNA back to the americans? (a few blood drops go a long way)

Without a doubt, next season will be entirely spent on the 3rd world warish situation between china and america.

So did anyone notice that when the warhead was stolen in Iowa, the president asked how a convoy could be ambushed, and his advisor mentioned that it was "mountainous" terrain? And now, in the course of less than 5 hours, the warhead makes it's way to the East Coast? I think the writers have mistaken Iowa for Virginia.

No no...the preview shows the missile on its launcher by the barn. It will be launched from Iowa to the East Coast. Best guess...New York is the intended target. Maybe the White House.

Its not ON the East Coast. It'll be FIRED at the East Coast.

Oh, and there are some parts of Western and Northern Iowa that do have some mountainous terrain-like qualities.

but then the episode actually turned out to be completely awesome! ^_^
my new favourite series.
Yeah, it seems like they're setting the stage of the next series of 24.

If you've just started tuning in now, you've missed a lot of action-packed drama!

Why would 24 have anything to do with a war between China? A war with China wouldn't be in CTU's jurisdiction, I would think.

A decent episode, but I think it's dumb to try to cram in this Chinese subplot this late in the series. And every scene with Palmer really shakes whatever plausibility this show had.

I watched the entire first season a few months back with my roommate - the thing that annoyed me is that they seemed to keep having to invent a "new" twist whenever everything was stabilized - how many times were his wife or daughter kidnapped throughout the season? 3, 4 times? I find it hard to beleive that anyone is that unlucky. I started through the second season of it and kinda just got bored by it... the episodes take so long to develop the story that it just gets tedious.

Though if I had to pick a favorite character, I'd say Almada definately.

No way. Nina, by far. When she was good, and when she was evil. No CTU babe has quite matched her yet.

Which one is Nina again?

Anyway, I think I can safely say I'm 24ed out. For a while it was my favorite show, but I've grown tired of the new scenarios which are repeats of the old. We all know how it'll turn out.

The highlight of the program I'd say is this season and the first 4 episodes when we were anxious about the boy and his mom. That made the show exciting and interesting. We need the troubles of civilians like that to make it interesting to me.

I have to sit this season out, but I'm not sure I'll be watching next season.
