No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. I think God hates me and is angry at me, although I am a Christian.

I try to do my best to serve Him, but I can't ever do enough, and I feel that He is there watching, waiting for the smallest error, the smallest mistake, whatever, to remove His protection from my life and allow demons, calamities, and whatever else to be loosed in my life. :cry: :cry: :cry:

I also fear that He will take someone away from me that I care about out of anger over any sin I commit or even because I might care too much and forget to put my Bible reading or prayer as the first thing of my day. . .

All this is because, like I said, I can't ever do enough. I have asked forgiveness for my sins many times over, but I think that God probably has an even more exacting standard for us than even my parents' "Don't say you're sorry. If you were really sorry you would never have done that." I have not seen dramatic answers to prayers, as you have seen I am too negative and  don't have or use the right words of faith and deliverance.

I'm just no good, and I wonder how long it will be before God goes as far as to take my life from me.

Ok, first off you shouldnt think this. God doesnt hate you, God loves you. God will never turn his back on you if you have repented from your sins, i.e. asked for forgiveness. God will always accept your apology as long as you mean it and are truly worry for your sins. And as far as saying you could never do enough for God is partly true. God deserves so much more than what we as humans can give him. All the you need to do to please him is to obey his will and worship him. If you think that God has turned your back on you, or is shunning you, Your only fooling yourself. God is always, and will always be with you, even though you may feel like God has turned his back on you, he hasnt.

Susan, I've noticed thatyou have this fear of God. Which we're all suppose to, but it's to be a holy fear. And the fear you have is an actual fear and not holy like it should be.

Hun, God loves you. There is no way He doesn't. Romans 8:38 and 39 tells us that. And there is no way we can stop sinning. There is no way for there is none without sin. We try, and that's what's important. That we keep trying and never give up. There are sins we can beat, but there are others that we'll never be able to. And God knows that. And I think He's pleased that your so concerned. But He's probably upset that you're thinking like this. All He wants you to do is run nto His arms and stay there and be comforted. He's a father to us. One who does discipline us, out of love, who teaches us and who also comforts us. He's also one who wants to laugh with us. Our God is a great God! He's got a sense of humor and wants to laugh and play with us as well. He wants to be a part of our lives. He's not distance. Just run into His arms and be comforted and be happy.

Susan,  My heart is breaking for you.  I have been in the exact same place you are now.  I am 32 years old and have had some terrible things happen to me and thought God was punishing me.

It has taken a long time for me to realize that God isn't punishing me.  He was waiting until the right time to release His power on me.  Until I was ready to admit that I was the one punishing myself and I was the one who left our relationship.

But, when I looked back on those dark times I see that God was still there.  He was protecting me.  I have done so many things in my life after I was saved that went against everything I knew to be right that there was no way God could possibly ever forgive me.  But, the bible says we are to be forgiving.  I believe this means we must also be forgiving of ourselves.  Once we ask forgiveness it is erased.  But, as humans we have a hard time doing this ourselves.

You know when I finally got it that God had been there all along I read the story of the prodigal son and realized that He never stopped loving me.  EVER!  The bible says the angels rejoice when we come back to the Lord.

Anyway, as for the anwers to prayers, sometimes prayers aren't answered the way we want or expect them to be.  Sometimes the answer if no.  But, it is always for the greater good.  I just knew God hated me and was punishing me for being a bad person when we were renting this house and it was the nicest house we had ever been in...when suddenly it was pulled away from us.  I was so angry!  After all that prayer and faith He took it away from us.  I turned from God in anger.  We ended up living in a shack without electricity or windows and it was falling down around our ears.  I was so mad!  But, a month later there was a double murder in our town.  It was directly across the street from the house we lost.  God had protected me and my family again.  My prayers to keep my family safe was answered...but, I couldn't have the house and safety.  God gave me the greater good.  It took me another year to swallow my pride and tell God I was sorry.  Sometimes we don't see dramatic answers to our prayers.  Sometimes the answers are small and sometimes we don't even realize they have been answered.  Just because the answer isn't dramatic, doesn't mean He isn't listening or doesn't care.  We have to learn to take the answers we are given.  We can't tell God how to answer prayers.

We all struggle with doubts.  A deacon at my church told me that the closer I get to God the more trouble I will have.  That satan will do anything to turn us away from the Father.  He is the master of deciet and will feed your doubts.  Stand firm and not give into your doubts.  Doubt is one of the most powerful tools satan uses against us.  Just know God loves you!!  He is waiting to comfort you.  The bible says He chose all of us in the very begining.  Know that he has chosen you to be a part of His family and His love is permanent.  He knows your every doubt and worry and sorrow.    He wants you to search him out.

I know this is really long post and I hope you take the time to read it.  If you want to please email me.  I am very willing to listen or in the case of email read.  And I promise my replies won't always be this long!

Dear Susan you have my prayers for comfort and peace.  I don't need to pray for God to love and forgive youl...He already does!

You think wrong, God will never hates you, its a lie from satan and you have to come against this lie with scripture.

1 John 4:10 HEREIN IS LOVE, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US, and sent HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.

Don’t think that God would send His Son for people He does not love.

No this is another lie you believe and the truth is that God want to bless you.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

I will keep you in my prayers

God loves you Susan.
You are his child.
Christ was sent to take away your sin and also your guilt.
the enemy wants you to believe that God is angry and mad at you.
that is all just lies.

1Jn. 2:12 I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been
forgiven on account of his name.

Ro. 8:1,2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set
me free from the law of sin and death.

Ro. 8:33-39 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has
chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of
God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” [Psalm 44:22] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels
nor demons, [Or not heavenly rulers] neither the present nor
the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ
Jesus our Lord.

I will pray for you.

Susan, you are in my prayers. Looks like you have gotten some good advice here, so there's not much to add other than everyone has done things they are sorry for later. We all make mistakes, we are not perfect. We have all sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, That's why he sent us Jesus so that we could, and will be forgiven.

Susan, try reading letters from Paul to churches.

Many of those churches had slipped, but Paul makes it clear God loved them anyway. God loved us while we were even sinners, enough to send his son for us.

Think about it. Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for a friend (Jn 15:13), right?

And Jesus laid down his life even while we were sinners and hadn't accepted him... what amazing love!

And how much love he must have when you've accepted him and are doing your best to follow him!

Fight the doubtful and decietful thoughts of Satan with the word of God, Susan. It is all right there in His holy word, the bible. He left us with scripture after scripture that tells of His undying love for mankind. That means you too, dear. Nothing you have done and repented for can haunt you. He forgets them. Throws them as far as the east is to the west. Isn't that exciting???

Susan,

I am going to share something that helped me several years ago. I was struggling with a huge sin in my life. I felt I was being punished by God because of my sin. I felt he was keeping Himself from me as a punishment. What I didn't realize is that I was not accepting the forgiveness He so readily gives. I was keeping myself from Him Sometimes we think that we have to do something to earn God's forgiveness. But all He wants us to do is ask. It is nothing we can earn. It is because of His almighty grace that He gives it to us.

What helped me see this was, I was in a study of the old testament prophets. A lot in my group thought that it was depressing. But all I could see was the depth of the love of God. Look how many times God give the Israelites a second, third, fourth, fifth, ect... chance. He longed for His people to come to Him. He wanted them to honestly turn from their wicked ways and rely on Him. He gave them so many chances.

He is like that with us today, Susan. He wants us to have a relationship with Him. He wants us to turn from our sins and turn to Him. He also knows we are human. If we earnestly and honestly repent, He is there, offering His forgiveness for us. He doesn't expect us to be perfect. He knows in our human-ness, we are going to fail. But He is there to forgive us and show us the way, only if we will open our hearts to Him and let Him in.

He knows your heart, Susan. He knows when you are earnestly seeking Him. Just calm down and allow yourself to feel His presence and His guidance. Quit relying on what "man" tells you that you should feel or believe but seek to have God come into your heart and show you His love and direction for you. He will not fail you.

He does not hate you Susan! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: He does not hate you, He hates sin but He loves you. Read these:

John 3
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

John 15
9 "Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.

John 14
21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."

1 John 4
8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
19 We love, because He first loved us.

Romans 5
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I try to do my best to serve Him, but I can't ever do enough, and I feel that He is there watching, waiting for the smallest error, the smallest mistake, whatever, to remove His protection from my life and allow demons, calamities, and whatever else to be loosed in my life.

No one can ever do enough for God, let alone do anything that would make us deserve the awesome love that He has for us and the love that He has shown to us. He is omniscient and omnipresent, so He does know of any sins that you and everyone else commits, but He does not enjoy sin, nor does He enjoy it when anyone sins, let alone when one of His children commit sin. God does not want you to be sad, afraid, upset, or hurt and He will not allow anything to happen to you that you can not handle. Satan and other demons are real but they are nothing compared to God. We do go through many difficult times in our lives, but do not forget that God will always be there for you and love you:

Nehemiah 9
17 . . . But You are a God of forgiveness,
Gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness;
And You did not forsake them.

Hebrews 13
5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
6 so that we confidently say,
"THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"

Isaiah 46
4 Even to your old age I will be the same,
And even to your graying years I will bear you!
I have done it, and I will carry you;
And I will bear you and I will deliver you.

Matthew 19
26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

John 14
30 " . . . for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;"

I also fear that He will take someone away from me that I care about out of anger over any sin I commit or even because I might care too much and forget to put my Bible reading or prayer as the first thing of my day. . .

Do not forget to pray and to read God's Word, and when you do happen to stumble into sin(which we all do sometimes :() ask God for forgiveness and also ask the person(s) that you hurt for forgiveness if you hurt someone, God will always forgive you, and your brothers' and sisters' in the Lord will also forgive you. This scripture is very relevant:

Nehemiah 9
17 . . . But You are a God of forgiveness,
Gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness;
And You did not forsake them.

It is good that you know that we can never do enough for God and that nothing we can do will ever--not it any way--would make us deserve His gift of salvation, it is by grace through faith that God has forgiven us. He will forgive you for any sin that you commit if you earnestly ask Him for forgiveness and repent of it, as in: you feel really mournful about committing that sin and you want to never commit that sin again. He will forgive you the first time that you ask if you are honest and sincere about it, you have to have faith and know that He has forgiven you. No dramatic answers to prayers or repentance is needed for you to have been forgiven. You are much too negative and harsh on yourself; you are a child of God and He loves you very much, why can't you believe this?

I'm just no good, and I wonder how long it will be before God goes as far as to take my life from me.

All humans are sinners, none of us are perfect, and sin does equal death, but you have been forgiven, you are now a child of God, and under His grace. We as Christians still stumble and sin sometimes, but God does not take our lives, He loves us and forgives us of any sins when we sincerely ask Him for forgiveness. It is only by God's tremendous and amazing grace that He allows us to live and that He forgives us and no longer remembers our repented sins. Read these verses of scripture:

Romans 3
20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
21 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

Isaiah 1
18 "Come now, and let us reason together,"
Says the LORD,
"Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.

Hebrews 10
10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;
12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD,
13 waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.
14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.
15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying,
16
"THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM
AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD:
I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART,
AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,"
He then says,
17
"AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS
I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Hebrews 4
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Mark 3
28 "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;
29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"--
30 because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit."

Daniel 9
8 "Open shame belongs to us, O Lord, to our kings, our princes and our fathers, because we have sinned against You.
9 "To the Lord our God belong compassion and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him;

Galatians 3
11 Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
12 However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, "HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM."
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"--
14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Here are some more really great scripture:

John 15
1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
9 "Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.
10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
11 "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

Philippians 2
13 For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing;
15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,
16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.
17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
18 You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

John 14
16 "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 "After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
20 "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."
30 "I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;

2 Corinthians 1
But as God is faithful, our word to you is not yes and no.
19 For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us--by me and Silvanus and Timothy--was not yes and no, but is yes in Him.
20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
23 But I call God as witness to my soul, that to spare you I did not come again to Corinth.
24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but are workers with you for your joy; for in your faith you are standing firm.

Romans 5
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
13 for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
15 But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
16 The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification.
17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
18 So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.
19 For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
20 The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Isaiah 46
4 Even to your old age I will be the same,
And even to your graying years I will bear you!
I have done it, and I will carry you;
And I will bear you and I will deliver you.

Ephesians 2
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

1 Peter 5
5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
12 Through Silvanus, our faithful brother (for so I regard him), I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it!

Thanks so much for posting these. :) :hug:

Susan, it's okay to be a bit worried sometimes, but don't forget that God loves you, and won't stop, even if you screw up sometimes. I've always gotten the impression that He's quite fond of you. You're really no worse than anyone else, you know, and probably better than many of us.
