2012 a different approach

Mat 24:32-34 talks about Israel being a marker for the start of the end.

­MAT 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet
tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

The nation of Israel was established in 1948.

­MAT 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is
near, even at the doors.

­MAT 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all
these things be fulfilled.

Jesus says that THIS generation shall not pass without ALL these things being fulfilled.
He is talking about the generation in the future that will see Israel become a nation and will live through what he describes in Mat.
In the bible a generation is 40 years. Take 1948+40=1988. But what if the generation he is talking about lives longer then 40 years?
In 1948 the average life expectancy in was between 63 & 64 years of age.
1948 + 63 or 64 = 2011 & 2012

I may be off my rocker but I think that people make the bible a bit harder to understand then is needed in most cases.
Rapture is another topic that is explained in Mat. I will write up my research and post it downstream.

Every day we are here right now, well is a tarry time, can happen at any moment. There are many interesting things coming up in 2012, but I'll leave it at that.

Well you should tell the Shiites that, they are getting ready for a big war around 2011-2012 to usher in their Mahdi from the bottom of the well. According to their belief, they need to fist spark a huge war. With the Muslim confederacy shaping up, along with the support of Russian interest, this is quite probable, and the regional target is obvious. Anyway, president of Iran made it pretty plain that he will start this war within then next couple of years and he has lots of support for this. So scream away, it’s going to get interesting pretty quick nonetheless. Lots more very interesting events shaping up for around 2012, and it's not the Church causing it or dreaming it all up. You should start screaming what John the Baptist did, may be more profitable *shrugs* It's just signs of the times like what was commanded of us to observe.

Yeah...? That was that problem with the chips that required systems to be reprogrammed due to a numerical glitch, which were. Even at the company I worked for at the time which was a telecommunications company, we got the message and fixed our equipment. It's interesting that when the danger is perceived, and people understand and do something about it, the doers, that some still choose to scoff at the whole thing as if it never happened or that there was never a threat. It would have taken my company down if we were left unaware.

History repeats itself? That's what they say about history anyway, is that one thing we learn about history is that we learn nothing from history. But this is not about fixing anything, but being aware, and that takes effort too. When you see these things come about, look up, for the kingdom is near. That's what I look for, not a temple or AC. Doesn't say when the temple will be rebuilt, but quite possibly during the tribulation. All the things involved for it are already being prepared, even the land itself. I don't need to be hit by a bus to realize one is bearing down on me.

Anyway, not saying I agree with the calculations of the OP, though good try, I think Psalm 90:10 answers a generation, but there may be a time span of seven years that is within that 70 years which would start around that season mentioned. But then of course, the tarry time can be extended, not sure when that ends. Another 10 years? I don't know, hope not, I want the kingdom to come and that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Who in their right spiritual mind would want this mess?

Why, because you can write? Is that proof for me? So can God, and He already did write something, and wrote that stuff before it even took place so to prove it was from Him. Such as messianic prophecy which was 100% fulfilled.

I know, only the Father knows when will that be... What we need to do is share Jesus in our circle of influence so when He comes back we have a lot of brothers and sisters to meet Him.

I'm with you. I've said on many occasions that when I see the Jews rebuilding the temple, I'll start taking notice of all these dooms day prophecies.

In the interim, I hope to do everything in my power to be ready no matter what. I mean, I could be hit by a Mack truck tomorrow.
