Today reminds me yet again of why I love fall so much!! The weather was once again perfect, 70ish degrees, sunny, with strong, cool breezes. There are so many free events around town in the fall, it's just too much awesomeness to absorb! Anyway, we visited Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, which is just a few miles from where we live, because they were having an "open house" day. They had all kinds of displays and activities and bus tours and stuff. Let the pictures begin!
First we stopped at the main building where all the activities were. Josh got to build a bird feeder! Luckily there were some guys on hand to help out. I made them laugh when I asked to hammer a few of the nails and I was like "That felt so good. I have anger issues to work out."
Then we headed further into the refuge in our car. First stop was a trail that led to an observation deck. Josh is saying "Come on, Mom!"
Noted! I am terrified of heights, especially climbing shaky wooden steps like these, but I made it up there, all hyperventilating and freaking out the whole way.
The view was worth it, though!
Snow geese!
Back on solid ground, we hiked down trail after trail. Ducks!!
I see you, cutie bird!
Racoon tracks! Fiddler crab holes!
Joshy found some binoculars.
Who's a pretty bird! YOU'RE a pretty bird!
Niiiice work, dude!
Then on the way out, I let Josh steer on my lap He loved it!

Thanks! Sometimes I forget that there are some really lovely places around here in the fall. I can't stand Delaware the rest of the year lol.

I guess its my time to show. I got my daughter some new clothes, She is rather small due to her heart condition, at 16 months old, she fits into 12 month clothes. She is 22lbs and 30 inches long, so she is more tall than anything. Anyway, shopping for her is like a chore, because the clothes are either too small or too big, so I got her some 12month clothes, some 18 month clothes and some 2T clothes. I absolutely love this outfit on her:

JesusFreak - your daughter is adorable!! My daughter is quite the opposite size-wise. She's almost 5 months old and I had to break out the 6-9 month clothes this weekend. She weighs over 16lbs already (you should see her thighs! )
