D I love your profile pic! Venice is so spectacular and peculiar all at once! The water is so smelly but the architecture and culture is just so unique! Did you get to see the Polizia boats ripping past on the water? So strange!

It is a magical place that is for sure. The water actually isn't all that smelly any more. They've made a major effort to clean things up And the culture is truly amazing. It is just a different world And YES we did see Polizia boats and ambulance boats and produce boats...etc. Nathan made me take a photo of every boat practically but I don't think I got a polizia boat. I did get a Carabinieri

The first time I visited Venice I was only there for a day but this time we were able to spend about 4 days and stay right on Venizia. Venice is a different world once all the day-trippers have gone I absolutely LOVED it and would go back in a heartbeat!

Is Dartmoor in or near Cornwall? That name sounds familiar. My mother's family lived there before coming to the US.

It is in the county of Devon which is next to Cornwall so maybe that is why it seems familiar!

You upload to an image host. I use tinypic.com. Then click on the icon in the post thing. In the quick reply it's next to the quote button. Paste the link in the popup. Whalah.
