  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you, that's what I think. It's perfect, and I would choose it over all of the other expensive rings that I've seen. The very first thing out of two people who have seen it on me have been "*Gasp!* It looks exactly like you!"

So I live in small town Japan. When the time of year rolled around my boss asked if I wanted to help out and participate. I, of course, said yes.

Participating involved carrying a 3300 kilogram (7260 pound) shrine around town, through a river, and up to another temple. Then returning the next day. It's grueling, and requires one to get rather inebriated. It also turns out I broke a toe early on the first day. Anyway, a couple shots.

A pile of my favorite necklaces. That one definitely says "LOL" and on the other side it says "ha ha ha"


I sliced my toe open pretty bad last weekend on a hike.. so one night I got some tweezers and I ripped off the scab and pulled out all of the clotted blood, then sucked it up and used hydrogen peroxide wipes on it. I was scared.

This weekend I went up to Seattle to be with my family because they had their second annual house concert to raise money for the mission they visited last summer in Africa, and I played at it. We raised $717!


One of the highlights was the reunion of a band called Mary, Marth and the Mourners. They were a group 12 years ago. That's Daddy Rob in the middle and he was just belting out tunes like there was no tomorrow.. it was so awesome, and definitely the highlight of the night.

After church on Sunday a bunch of us went out to lunch at Macaroni Grill. Deryn drew a picture of me. It was pretty accurate.


Sunday eve we had a sleepover at our friend Erin's house. Emily was helping Erin's daughter Eva brush her teeth, and I thought this picture was adorable.


Yesterday I spent all day hanging with the Birksies. Me and Lauren


I watched High School Musical for the first time ever. Deryn stopped by with the boys and she kept interfering with my first HSM experience. That dog with the laser eyes is Ramona, she is the best dog EVER!!


Took the scenic route home and stopped by camp to say goodbye to my dear friend Craig who was visiting for the wedding last weekend.. he is back in Florida now and I will miss him. It was hard to leave camp.

Now I have to go to work k bye.
