So you do agree with Ephesians 1:22-23 that the Body of Christ is the Church.

By the time acts 28 concluded Israel the nation has completely fallen. Even the disapora has rejected Jesus

that is when Ephesians was written

so if you are a gentile, the only church you can be is the body of Christ so yes, it’s the church.

??? Did I not say... "In ancient times..."

The people who were gathered together as an "ekklesia/assembly" was also called a "congregation" - same word we use today when believers are gathered together to worship God as a congregation.

1Pe 2:9 - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

My post was intended to say that "we Christians today are an extension of that congregation in the wilderness - aka assembly/ekklesia/called-out-ones/as in Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,"

Dispensationalism divides the word of God into two distinct and separate groups of people when scripture is clear that God's people include both Jews and Gentiles and always did. In regards to that heresy of dispensationalism I will always refute any chance I get nor will I apologize for exposing untruth!

Hi MS,

Yes in ancient times the word ekklesia was used. however God`s word is quite specific concerning which group He is talking about -

the ekklesia in the wilderness, (Acts 7: 38) and
the ekklesia the Body of Christ. (Eph. 1: 22 & 23)

Yes, as I stated many times, in the Body of Christ, Jews and gentiles are equal.

When Israel has fallen, everyone is uncircumcised in God's eyes (Acts 7:51)

Marilyn.

I wonder why they have difficulties understanding the definition of a church as a "called out assembly".

I strongly suspect its because they hold this popular doctrine that, prior to the cross, somehow believers can also believe in the the death burial and resurrection of Christ, aka "looking forward to the cross", even though Peter and the others rebuked Jesus for telling them he had to die, Peter even disowned Jesus three times during the cross.

By holding that doctrine, they can believe that the Body of Christ, which required the death burial and resurrection of Christ, can also exist during the OT.

Everyone is equal in the Body of Christ, which is His Church.

Israel had not fallen, but those in Acts 7:51 were spiritually uncircumcised.

The Holy Spirit, thru Stephen, was speaking to the leaders of Israel in Acts 7.

In God's eyes, the nation of Israel rise and fall according to their leaders (1 Kings 14:16)

You mean you believe Israel has not fallen, even now, despite Romans 11:11?

Hi jgr,

Oh so you are able to speak many languages? Do be more considerate.

Marilyn.

As I told you before, posting in such forums really trains one's patience. The rule I follow is that "You cannot control how others respond to your posts, but you can still choose your own response".

But I appreciate you stepping in.

Hi Guojing,

Yes patience. And my privilege to make people accountable, and that means myself too if I get something wrong.

regards, Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn,

I've complimented Guojing on his English previously.

Don't rush to judgment.

Hi jgr,

I was just pointing out to you your insensitivity. Glad you have complimented him before.

Marilyn.

Did you recognize that I had said had, not has?

Marilyn.

Sometimes when people compliment, esp regarding language, it can be viewed as patronizing.

Hi Marilyn,

I complimented him, and he hasn't complained about any insensitivity.

I knew you were patronizing, but as I said, I can only control my response, so I just ignored that "compliment" and continue engaging you on the relevant discussion points.

What made you think I was patronizing?

Are you unable to accept a compliment?

Should I have simply informed you of your faulty English, and nothing more?
