The people who were gathered together as an
"ekklesia/assembly" was also called a
"congregation" - same word we use today when believers are gathered together to worship God as a congregation.
1Pe 2:9 -
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of
him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
My post was intended to say that
"we Christians today are an extension of that congregation in the wilderness - aka assembly/ekklesia/called-out-ones/as in Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,"
Dispensationalism divides the word of God into two distinct and separate groups of people when scripture is clear that God's people include both Jews and Gentiles and always did. In regards to that heresy of dispensationalism I will always refute any chance I get nor will I apologize for exposing untruth!
