Hello All - I haev a dilema that I was hoping someone could help with...You know, or many....
Okay, here's the thing...My boyfriend and I are going to be having our two year anniversary soon; well, it's October 11, but there is SOO MUCH going on between then and now that I figure I should get a head start....We have this thing about going to Italy - we don't have any plans to go there, but would absolutely LOVE to! Last year, I had a friend help me, and I went all out....I borrowed my dad's house, adn my friend helped me decorate the kitchen as an italian restaurant - with their authentic colors, then we put candles all over the living room and kitchen (to match the rest of the colors.)...At 7:30 AM, I snuck into his dorm room, and I left him a book called "Let's Go to Italy".....Inside the book was a clue...In the clue, it told him to meet me at my dad's at a certain time, but I wrote it like we were going to Italy....Like a travel plan....He got to my house, and I gave him another book with another clue....That clue was to go to the woods (we loved to take walks throught he woods, adn there was this particular spot where we loved to go), and I packed a nice lunch./...Since we don't drink alcohol, I brought the Best cream soda (the kind in bottles)...We were there for a little while, and then I handed him his next clue...This one was to go down to the coffee house for some hot chocolate...We're from the UP, so it was getting chilly outside.....I already had a clue at teh coffee house, and when we were abotu to leave, I had the waiter (a personal friend of mine) hand him his clue....This was to go to my house for dinner....The table was set up with three tall candles, his next clue, adn non-alcoholic champagne....I made Chicken Kiev, Baby carrot soaked in brown sugar and butter, Seasoned fried potatoes, and a Ceasar salad...We ate, and I gave him a clue to head into the living room....It was already in candle light.....I prepared his deserts...I made 5! There was Creme Brulet, Tiramisu, Apple Crisp, Oreo Turtle Bars, and Strawberries with homemade cream....I served them to him on a plate, and had him choose what to eat first, adn I ate them as he did....When we were done with that, I put on our song ("The Eleventh Hour" Jars of Clay), and we slow danced by candle light in my living room...Then, I had him sit down and I knelt on the floor in front of him and told him how much I love him....He cried, a lto - we both did...Then, I gave him his last clue.....It was to go out to our church.....I had been trying to learn guitar for a year, but I wasn't very good....I learned how to play Alison Kraus's "When You Say Nothing at All," adn I sang it to him - I must note that I don't sing by myself in front of people....He cried then too....By this time it was abotu 2 AM, so he took me home...
It may not seem like I need any help, but don't be fooled....My friedn came up with most of this....I came up with the guitar, coffee house, and the woods...This is goign to be a very significant year for us...Maybe for more than one reason if you catch my drift, but I wan tot make it so magical for him...We've had a lot of trials, and God has been doing such an awesome work in us, and He is still working in us (as He always will), and I just want my boyfriend to knwo how great and wonderful he is, adn I wan thim to know that I want and am ready to spend the rest of my life with him....God has already given us that vision and heart...The reason I share this extensive information is becuas eI want to make it so much more special for him this year...Please help - I really don't have a clue!
