Steven- ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! YOu mean one day you came online and then looked up and noticed they were suddenly gone? How crazy! I do't know if you are a "supporter" but they guve you those if you give them an offering.

Did you let someone know? I am sure there is someway they can check.

No big deal Ginny. :) I think it had something to do with a database crash thing. Or maybe one of the mods who hate me wiped em out. :D I don't really care. I was just joking really. I'm already blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies. I doubt "blessings" here will add much to that. But it is nice when someone thinks well of you.

By the way. By the looks of your picture, you could be one of my relatives. :D

This "first thought of mine" was not an attack on Ginny. I was simple restating my concern about the avatar. I did and do apologise for attacking this forum in my first post. I jumped the gun. Jesus commands us in Luke 17:3 "So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him." I saw my error and took corrective action for my part.

Jerry

I understand, no worries.

But ahmmmmm!...you said "screw' in your other post!

That's not really a "Christian" word. It is a watered down version of a much worse word in the fashion you used it. Mental sin of lust, mental sin of swearing?

I confess that I still have not given up my potty mouth. I have a real problem with disobedience in that area. Will you pray for me on that issue? I would appreciate it.

Jerry

Of course. And you for me too please. You will notice, I was keen to the vernacular. ;) :D

Whats up with this site?!?! you need to earn "blessings to do anything at all to your profile, and as I was going through the avatars one of the first ones was a nearly naked man with wings and just a sheer cloth draped in front of his privet parts?!?!?! What is christian about that? This is not a "christian only" site, just a site with a christian badge.

I'll be praying for y'all but no longer participating.

Get rid of the filth

Jerry

And you also get blessings by posting. Ya, I can see how it's a pain that people who post here get to do anything to their profile.

See ya.

LOL, that is one ugly avatar, and that's the reason it needs to go, not that it's offensive IMO.

Are you kidding me? It is done in the style of one of those trashy rommance novels you see in grocery stores. For emulating that style alone, it is offensive. ;)

Wow. You came to this conclusion after 13 posts? That was quick.

We'll pray for you to Jerome.

I enjoy posting here but I haven't really thought of this as a 'Christian' site. It is a site to explore issues important to Christians but even in the 'Christian' section of the site you'll find many, many variations and definitions of what it means to be Christian.

If you're looking to discuss issues with other folk who share your worldview, you'll find them here. If you're looking to discuss issues with other folk who do not share all of your worldview, you'll find them here. If you're looking to discuss issues with folk who do not share your worldview at all, you'll find them here. If you're looking for absolute truth, look to your Bible. Absolute truth is difficult to discern here :)

God bless.

Think of it this way, if you say something ENCOURAGING and EDIFYING, people will bless you. I'm at the point where I have more blessing that I know what to do with, so if I see a post I really like and the poster is low on blessings, I'll throw him or her a few hundred.

My biggest concern is the pic of the nearly NAKED man in the avatar section. whats up with that

 I think the appropriate action would be to contact one of the moderators instead of ranting about the avatar in a thread. We can't do anything about a person's avatar, but the mods can.

Really, use a bit of common sense.

BTW, Jesus was completely naked on the cross, he had no cloth like on the crucifixes.

But, Jesus was NOT naked on the cross by his choice. They striped him. It was considered shameful for him to be on that cross naked and bloody with spittle dripping from his face. He ENDURED the nakedness, shame and the scorne for us. That should have been us up there on that cross bloody and naked. Get it?

I came to the conclusion before I ever posted. If you read the ENTIRE thread you will see where I quickly saw my error.

I will pray for you.

For every one who only reads my first post on this thread;

You need to read all of my posts. I can not go through and apologise again and again and again. If you only read the first post you are only getting part of the story. That is the mistake I made in the first place. I know that I have to live with the consiquences of my sin, but I also know that there is also grace and forgiveness.

Thanks and God bless,
Jerry

Of course, I was just pointing out that the crucifixes aren't as true to the story as people think.
