This does raise a very serious danger. If we really did get 15 days darkness we could have a really cool comic, but what if instead we ended up with a terrible, terrible film adaptation. :(

You get more than 15 days of darkness every year at the poles. In Prudhoe Bay, 7 of those days will be in November (linkie). The entire month of November is dark in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway this year and every year (until the plates shift sufficiently southward)

I've heard from an impeccable source that they have 30 days of night in Barrow, Alaska. ;)

13: in the comic the sun sets November 17th and doesn't rise until Dec 17h. :)
tulc(thought winters were (sometimes) tough in Chicago!) :D
We don't really have winter in most of the Southern Hemisphere... then again our spring can occasionally jump from 5 (41) to 36 (97) and back again in the same week.
