Ya ne russkij no ya govoryu po-russki. Ya tozhe govoryu po-nemetski, po-frantsuzki, po-tajlandski i konechno, po-angliski.

And also I have a ton of bad speaking habits I picked up from my Tatar grandmother who speaks really ugly Russian

No no, I mean, I cannot find the cyrillic letters on the keyboard. I never learned to touch-type in the Russian alphabet and it takes me forever to do it even when I have a labelled keyboard. So I am bad at both spelling and typing in Russian.

Someone PM'ed me with this in latin letters [pomaze Bog], which to the best of my knowledge would look something like [Помаэе Бог]
I go to Russian Orthodox Church, and I know the last word is "God", but I can not find the meaning of the first word. What are they trying to tell me? I do not know this person.

Ïîìîæè Áîã!- Help God! Word "ïîìîæè" it may be an old variant of "ïîìîãè".

"pomazat'" means "to anoint"...I agree with Yuri, probably what the person said is an old variation...or maybe some other slavic language besides Russian?

wow. i didn't know there were so many russian speaking people here! i was born and lived in Ukraine till i was seven. but i can only speak russian. then i moved to USA and i live in washington now!
