Beautiful Pic of Wales, Cygnus!!! It looks great to paint form that angle too!
The more pics of welsh landscapes the better!!!

I was wondering where the huge ancient white limestone horse is in Britain?
There is supposed to be very advanced caves with sophisticated stone designs under some of the UK regions...? Do you have the slightest idea of waht I am speaking of, Cygnus?

I have a mystery photo here---there is even supposed to be a ghost in it....I'll leave it as a question for the superior "Mission Impossible" detective agents here on this post....

Hi freespirit , the pic I posted was in (near) Hereford in England right on the Welsh border , sorry for the confusion ......... I want to go up that Ridge this year , and hopefully go a few miles up the road into a small Welsh village and take a photo of a small but significant recording studio in Rockfield Wales........
Bohemian Rhapsody and the Album A Night At The Opera were recorded there as were a few RUSH albums ........ so I would like a couple of photos ....;)

I go to Hereford quite a lot (and South Wales) with my job , they make cider in HEREFORD , they have done for hundreds of years and it is quite something to see scores of tractors and trailers and lorries pulling apples in and dumping them in big vats , it is quite a process I can tell you .......... and it gets boiled down and the stuff is so rich only a small quantity is needed for each Keg ..

Herefordshire has a long history of cider making, going back even to before Roman times. For centuries, cider was drunk by rich and poor alike. In castle, manor house and farmstead it was a popular, and often safer, alternative to water. Children even, were baptised with it! And it used to be said that it took four men to drink a pint of Herefordshire cider. Two to hold the man down and one to pour it down his throat! :D

this may help , i couldn't post the book cover ........... :D

"The flowing outlines of the Uffington White Horse, the phallic symbolism of the Cerne Giant, the austere Long Man of Wilmington and many other chalk hill-figures form some of Britain's best-known landmarks. As a uniquely British phenomenon, the thirty or so figures cut into the turf of southern England have excited antiquarians, archaeologists and the general public for generations. However, their origins are enigmatic. Paul Newman shows how hill-figures reveal Britain's darkest past: Druid massacres, conjectured human sacrifice and strange phallic and pagan rites that in milder form survive even today. Lost Gods of Albion is the authoritative guide to a fascinating and mysterious subject. First published to wide acclaim in 1987, it has been completely rewritten and freshly illustrated, and incorporated radical new interpretations arising from the lastest discoveries and reasearches. This scholarly and comprehensive account of all the hill-figures in England offers not only description but also analysis, discussion and interpretation. In the ten years that have passed since the first edition of this book, much has changed in the world of hill-figure studies, most significantly perhaps te absolute dating by scientific means of early silts incorporated unto the Uffington White Horse, which can now be seen to date from around 1000 BC. These and other discoveries and reinterpretations are among the many features which make Paul Newman's book essential reading for all those who have been captivated by the potent symbolism of chalk hill-figures. Hey Cyg!
I just wanted to say something in regards to another thread you started, only, I can't post there, so I'll post here.

Except, because of the fact that my brain lacks important parts  I can only remember that it was about faith without works, and specifically a Barren Faith. You asked (I believe) what does the Barren Faith need?

The Breath of Life! (Ezekiel 37)

( I just had to let you know that, sorry to carry another thread over, but you did say ANYthing)

Um ok, I'm sure you know what you were getting at, but I wonder if you don't mind adding the other end of this for me while were here.....

Thanks~

Thanks. Well, I'm not that familiar with your style. I did get the impression you asked the question intending for the thread to go somewhere, so you could work with it, but I wanted to tell you my answer! lol

Anyway, sorry to bother you, I really was being serious.

Love,
Blessed

I love apple trees, Cygnus! We grew up in central jersey on the coast and Monmouth and Middletown counties had great apple orchards and orchard stores with loads of great smelling baked apple goods and pies and baked apple tarts---Apple cider in the fall is the best!~~~ I also loved the Boonesfarm Applejack in my teens myself---
Apple Harvests!!! The mythological fruit of Eden or the Apple tree in Song of Solomon---This is my kind of apple tree, if we can resolve our post eden syndrome...and find the tree and appreciate the golden cherubim guarding the tree.

I grew up on some Beatles---Creedance Clear Water Revival, Led Zepphlin, Floyd ( I still have their original concerts in the early 70's--)

I would have liked to listen to the group you grew up on...and visit the landscapes of their inspiration...I love light and mood...and music....

I also grew up on Joni Mitchell's songs---The Priest Lyrics are good...so are the...Dreamland Lyrics...Ladies of the Canyon Lyrics...

Hereford Apples! what great fun...old old orchards!
I have some very early American English ancestry with all the old family names and records---dating back to the English countryside in the 1500's..

TaDa!!!~~~
