When will the 1000 years start?

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand year (after the first resurrection)

After Jesus comes those in Christ will rise to meet Him.This is the first resurrection.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Let’s pray we are all in the first resurrection!

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

When is the second resurrection:

Revelation 20:5 “The rest of the dead [those who were not saved] did not live again until the thousand years were finished”

What happens to Satan during the thousand years

Revelation20:3 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years

What happens during the 1000 years:

(Revelation 20:4). “I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. ... And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years”
“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? ... Do you not know that we shall judge angels?” (1 Corinthians 6:2, 3).

After the 1000 years what happens?

Revelation 21:1-3 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God

What happens to the wicked?

The rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. ...
When the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out
to deceive the nations (Revelation 20:5, 7, 8).

Sin and sinners will be no more

Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are.And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The saints will live forever with Jesus and sin will be destroyed forever (punishment, not punishing- it ends).

You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,” Says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:4

What are the fruits of a saved person?

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

God bless!

Adventists see all the wicked being slain at Jesus' coming in Rev. 19. However, Revelation indicates that there are still nations.

We need to look at a key underlying Old Testament text involved, and then examine what Revelation says.

Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,

Psa 2:3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,
Psa 2:6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”
Psa 2:7 I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you.

Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.
Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”
Psa 2:10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

We have reference to the nations, and to kings. The kings are warned to serve the Lord, or they will perish.

Now in Revelation 19 we see Psalm 2:9 referenced:

Rev 19:15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
Rev 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
Rev 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, “Come, gather for the great supper of God,
Rev 19:18 to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great.”
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Rev 19:21 And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

Jesus comes as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And He destroys the kings and their armies gathered to resist Him. Just as in Psalm 2 where the kings are warned to submit or they will perish.

The birds are gathered to this place as well to eat of the flesh of the armies of the kings, including the horses.

So we see the kings who resist Christ shattered, and slain in a battle in a particular spot where they are gathered.

Previously Christ ruled over the nations through delegated authority, through servants (Rom. 13), but now directly. The kings did not submit and perished.

The kings and their armies are gone. But the nations are not. Satan is bound so that he might not deceive the nations:

Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

Then we see those given authority to reign with Christ:

Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

What are Christ and these who are given authority reigning over? The nations. This is confirmed in Rev. 2

Rev 2:26 The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations,
Rev 2:27 and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.

The authority spoken of in Rev. 2 is "authority over the nations". But it is delegated authority from Christ to the overcoming believer.

So to say that the authority spoken of is limited to destroying the wicked at the coming of Jesus makes no sense here, because the believer is not the one smiting the wicked at Jesus' coming.

But according to Rev. 20 some are reigning with Christ. And here it says they have authority over the NATIONS.

Adventists claim there are no nations here. But that is not what the text says.

Jesus slays the kings and their armies, and reigns over their nations, along with those He gave authority.

Another key issue is how Adventist define the pit of the abyss.

The Scriptures say that Satan is bound during the 1k years so that he might not deceive the nations.

This indicates there are nations to deceive at this time. However, because he is bound Satan cannot then deceive them. After the 1k years satan is released and then goes to deceive the nations, which are still there:

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

The Adventist view of where the pit is does not match up with Scripture.

From the official church website, number 27 fundamental belief of SDA reads:

What do Seventh Day Adventists Really Believe? - Adventist.org

The millennium is the thousand-year reign of Christ with His saints in heaven between the first and second resurrections. During this time the wicked dead will be judged; the earth will be utterly desolate, without living human inhabitants, but occupied by Satan and his angels. At its close, Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The unrighteous dead will then be resurrected, and with Satan and his angels will surround the city; but fire from God will consume them and cleanse the earth. The universe will thus be freed of sin and sinners forever. (Rev. 20; 1 Cor. 6:2, 3; Jer. 4:23-26; Rev. 21:1-5; Mal. 4:1; Eze. 28:18, 19.)

So this indicates that satan is on the earth itself, per official Adventist teaching, and that the earth is without humans, but only the devil and his angels.

The clarifying notes on the official Adventist site state:

What Adventists Believe about the Millennium and the End of Sin - Adventist.org

So where is this pit where Satan is to be locked up so he ‘might not deceive the nations any longer’? Though the Bible doesn’t specifically state it, we can infer this pit refers to the earth after the resurrection of the saints.

Later it says:

There is no one on earth for Satan to deceive. The entire planet is empty, left in ruins, without a single human being (Jeremiah 4:24-26).

However, this does not match up with what the Scriptures say.

Revelation already describes what the pit (Greek abyss) is and it is not a desolate earth with no human beings.

In Revelation 9 the description is given of the pit of the abyss. It has a key. Things go up out of it and then those things impact the earth. It is a place of holding. There are still people on the earth at this time which are impacted by the things coming out of the pit.

Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.
Rev 9:2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft.
Rev 9:3 Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth.
Rev 9:4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Chapter 20 is consistent with the explanation in 9. The abyss still has a key. satan is thrown into the pit and it is sealed OVER him. Previously things had to go up to come out of the pit to the earth, and now he is thrown in and covered over. The abyss is still a holding place as before.

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.

Satan is bound in the abyss, so he cannot deceive the nations. Which when he comes out of the abyss the nations are still there to go and deceive.

It is only when he comes out of the prison that he goes to the four corners of the earth. This is consistent with the information in Rev. 9 where entities only impacted the earth once they left the abyss prison.

Adventists try to change the meaning of abyss already established in Rev. 9. But in both Rev. 9 and 20 it is consistent. The abyss is not the desolate earth. And satan is released FROM it before he goes to the four corners of the earth. And there he finds nations to deceive.

Regarding the events of the 1k years, this was my comparison with @BobRyan's view (An Adventist) on the order of events:

I don’t see how @BobRyan contradicts the scriptures it lines up perfectly with what the scripture says as shown in the OP. I see you have invested a lot of time on your graph though, thanks for sharing.

When the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out
to deceive the nations (Revelation 20:5, 7, 8).

Are these, in your view, the same nations that he was put into the pit so that he could not tempt them for 1k years?

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

Which part do you need clarification? Where the pit is or that the other nations (wicked) won’t rise until after the 1000 years?

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

Which part do you not understand? Where the pit is or that the other nations (wicked) won’t rise until after the 1000 years?

I am not agreeing with your assessment. Satan is put into the pit so that he might not tempt the nations.

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.

If there were no nations present during the 1k years, then satan would not need to be bound.

Then when he is let out he goes to tempt the nations. This indicates that the nations are there during the 1k years.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

But the nations were there during the 1k years, or else Satan would not need to be bound so that he might not tempt them.

I don’t see how @BobRyan contradicts the scriptures.

A summary.
See here for more explanation

Rev 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
Rev 19:12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
Rev 19:13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

This is a representation of Christ, based on the OT allusions, and appears to represent the second coming, with Christ as Conquering King with His army.

The angel calls on the birds to gather. They will eat the flesh of various ones, kings, captains, mighty men, horses, riders, of all ranks, slave and free.

These are all descriptive of dead left from armies, including horses. So the birds are gathered, and told to prepare to eat flesh, at a battlefield.

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

The beast and the kings of the earth with their armies are gathered to make war against Christ. However, the war is quickly ended, with the beast and the false prophet captured, and thrown into the lake of fire, and the rest of the armies were slain by the sword that comes from the mouth of Christ. The birds that were gathered to that place then feast on the flesh of the armies that were gathered.

Adventists see all the wicked killed at this point. But Revelation does not state that here, referring to the gathered armies instead. Revelation shows the destruction of the armies of the kings of the earth, but not all the people on the earth. That means there are still people, which it refers to as nations.

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.

The text indicates that Satan is bound so that he may not deceive the nations. Or, to put it another way, if Satan were not bound, he would deceive the nations.

This then assumes the presence of nations to be deceived. And we see in fact there are such nations when the 1k years are ended.

The Adventist view of the pit of the abyss confuses the issue, and is unsustainable in light of the text of Revelation.

SDA Fundamental 27:

The clarifying notes on the official Adventist site Adventist.org

So where is this pit where Satan is to be locked up so he ‘might not deceive the nations any longer’? Though the Bible doesn’t specifically state it, we can infer this pit refers to the earth after the resurrection of the saints.

Later it says:

There is no one on earth for Satan to deceive. The entire planet is empty, left in ruins, without a single human being (Jeremiah 4:24-26).

However, this does not match up with what the Scriptures say.

Revelation already describes what the pit (Greek abyss) is, and it is not a desolate earth with no human beings.

In Revelation 9 the description is given of the pit of the abyss. It has a key. Things go up out of it, and then those things impact the earth.

Satan is bound in the abyss, so he cannot deceive the nations. And when he comes out of the abyss the nations are still there to go and deceive.

A non-apocalyptic text references the abyss as a place of holding for demonic entities as well:

Luk 8:27 When Jesus had stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and he had not lived in a house but among the tombs.
Luk 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and said with a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.”
Luk 8:29 For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For many a time it had seized him. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.)
Luk 8:30 Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered him.
Luk 8:31 And they begged him not to command them to depart into the abyss.

Here we see, long before any proposed empty earth, during the earthly ministry of Christ, that the demons beg Him not to command them to depart into the abyss.

And Satan is put there in Rev. 20 so that he will not deceive the nations.

The pit of the abyss is not the desolate earth. The earth is not desolate. The nations are there. Satan is placed in the abyss so that he might not deceive them.

Rev 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

This describes Christ reigning for a thousand years, and those who reign with Christ for a thousand years. Among those who reign with Him are those in the first resurrection. In the text of Revelation the group is more limited than the Adventist view, noting those who have been beheaded, etc., rather than all the saints.

If Rev. 19's battle is the second coming, then we can take in other texts regarding that. So in 1 Thessalonians we have all the dead in Christ rising. We could also, with that understanding, include the living in Christ at that time, as they are also caught up in the air in 1 Thessalonians.

Adventists apply Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed, to the saints as a whole based on I Corinthians 6. And while the text in Revelation does not spell that out as thoroughly, the argument seems sound enough otherwise

1Co 6:2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?

So with that in mind, at the coming of Jesus we could summarize the groups thus:

Dead in Christ-raised, reigning with Him.
Living in Christ- reigning with Him.
Dead wicked- not yet raised
Living Wicked-what is left of the nations being reigned over.

Now there is the question of whether Christ and the saints are reigning on earth or heaven. In favor of heaven you could argue from 1 Thessalonians 4 where they meet Christ in the air. But it doesn't elaborate.

However, the rest of the context of Rev. 20 suggests that Christ and the saints are not in heaven, but on earth. Because as we will see when satan is released from the abyss he goes out to deceive the nations, and surrounds the camp of the righteous, which is already seen as on the earth.

There is no mention of a third coming, the righteous returning from heaven, Christ returning from heaven, etc. So most naturally in the context it would make sense that Christ and the saints reign on earth, from the beloved city Jerusalem, which is seen as still standing.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them

At the end of the 1k years satan is released from his prison. He goes to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth. They surround the beloved city. But then fire comes from heaven and consumes them.

So the nations that are alive at the time of the end of the 1k years are consumed in fire that comes from heaven. Those who died before the end of the 1k years would then be included in the 2nd resurrection, which per the text has not happened yet.

So now we have:

Dead in Christ-raised, reigning with Him, surrounded by nations but delivered.
Living in Christ- reigning with Him, surrounded by nations but delivered.
Dead wicked- not yet raised
Living Wicked-the nations surround the city but are consumed by fire.

At this time also Satan, who led the nations, is placed in the lake of fire

Rev 20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

And following those events we now see the second resurrection and the Great White Throne Judgment, involving the wicked dead.

Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.
Rev 20:14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Those not found in the book of life are thrown in the lake of fire, so all the wicked dead are raised, and judged, and are thrown in to the lake of fire.

It is only after the destruction of the wicked that we see the New Heavens and the New Earth, and the old earth passed away:

Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

This is in line with the more literal description in 2 Peter 3.

That doesn’t line up with scripture which I already presented. The wicked do not rise until after the 1000 years Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

Satan is released after the 1000 years which you also provided in scripture so the nations are the wicked who rise after the 1000 years and both wicked and Satan is destroyed forever as shown in the OP. Hope this helps.

The rest of the dead are not raised until after the 1k years, agreed. But Christ is reigning during the 1k years. And there are nations He is reigning over, or else satan wouldn't need to be bound so that he might not deceive them.

Satan is released after the 1000 years which you also provided in scripture so the nations are the wicked who rise after the 1000 years and both wicked and Satan is destroyed forever as shown in the OP. Hope this helps.

I noted the release of satan after the 1k years. I also noted his reason for imprisonment--so he might not deceive the nations.

You have re-arranged some of the timeline. Verse 5 is talking about the first and second resurrection. It indicates the 2nd is after the 1k years. Agreed.

But then the rest of the chapter spells out the various events leading up to it:

The first thing that happens after the 1k years are ended is that Satan is released. He then goes up to deceive the nations. These are the same nations he was bound so that he might not deceive them previously.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,

Satan deceives the nations. The nations are consumed by fire from heaven. Then satan is cast in the lake of fire:

Rev 20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

And it is after all that we see the 2nd resurrection, and the Great White Throne judgment:

Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

so the nations are the wicked who rise after the 1000 years .

Then why did satan need to be bound for 1k years so that he might not deceive the nations? There is no need to do so if the nations are those who won't be raised for 1k years:

Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

There are only two groups, not three- those saved and those lost. Those saved reign with Christ for the 1000 and the wicked do not rise until after the 1000 years.

But Christ is reigning during the 1k years. And there are nations He is reigning over, or else satan wouldn't need to be bound so that he might not deceive them.

The saints are with Christ for the 1000 years And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand year Revelation 20:4

And the wicked are not raised until after the 1000 years
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

Satan is bound for 1000 years

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.
Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended

So the wicked will be raised and Satan is released after the 1000 years and both are destroyed by God all in the OP.

Need to cook supper for hubby. Bye for now!

At the coming of Jesus we could summarize the groups thus:

Dead in Christ-raised, reigning with Him.
Living in Christ- reigning with Him.
Dead wicked- not yet raised
Living Wicked-what is left of the nations being reigned over.

Yes, now who are the nations that he had to be bound so he wouldn't deceive them during that 1k years?

Satan is bound so that he cannot deceive the nations.

If he were not bound he would deceive the nations.

When he is released he does deceive the nation.

The key misunderstanding is that you redefine the abyss and how Satan is bound, as outlined in earlier posts.

I do not see that the scriptures your posting here in this thread or in your other thread support your interpretation of them. For me your disregarding the scripture contexts while trying to claim your argument is all about scripture context while assuming everything is about Revelation 21. Revelation 19 to Revelation 21 disagrees with this view point. For example the scriptures teach that first death of the remaining living wicked takes place at the second coming and the second resurrection of the wicked that takes place after the 1000 years of Christs return to gather His saints to sit in judgement on the wicked. Revelation 19 to Revelation 21 therefore are not in chronological order. That is something that you are assuming without reference to scripture. The resurrection of the wicked after the 1000 years since Christ returns for example takes place well before Revelation 21. All I see in your posts here is that your disregarding scripture context while claiming your providing it in Revelation 21 without considering that the resurrection of the wicked is already being discussed in the previous chapters. This right here does away with your chronological order view of Revelation 21 and makes your whole argument fall over.

Yes, in fact 21 talks of the new heavens and new earth.

It happens in chapter 20 as I noted.

But please explain who the nations are that satan is bound during the thousand years so that he might not tempt them?

Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him,
Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

Yes, Satan won’t be able to deceive the nations any longer during this time because those in Christ will be with Jesus during the 1000 years Revelation 20:4 and the wicked won’t rise again until after the thousand years Revelation 20:5 so there will be no one for Satan to deceive during this time, which is why its says until the thousand years ended. At that time the wicked rise for judgement from Jesus and both are destroyed (wicked and Satan). All in the OP.

That is not what it says. It does not say there will be no one for Satan to deceive during this time. Rather, it says he is bound so that me may not deceive the nations.

That means the nations are there to be deceived. And the solution is to bind satan.

If there is no one on the earth to deceive, why would satan need to be bound?

Scripture says the saved will be with Christ for the 1000 years and the wicked will not raise until after the 1000 years. Revelation 20:4-5

Satan will be bound because he has no one to deceive during the 1000 years until the 1000 years is over. After the 1000 the dead will rise and Satan will be let free for a short time until Jesus destroys both. It’s all in the OP with scripture references. Looks like we will have to agree to disagree.

Scripture says the saved will be with Christ for the 1000 years and the wicked will not raise until after the 1000 years. Revelation 20:4-5

Here is what Revelation 20:4-5 says:

Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Those who were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and the Word of God, and those who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received the mark came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

It does not say that all the saints who had fallen asleep previously are raised here, but you could argue it from other texts such as 1 Thessalonians 4, so that is fine.

Rev 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

The rest of the dead are not raised until after the 1k years. Ok.

Satan will be bound because he has no one to deceive during the 1000 years

Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

Well again, it doesn't say that. It says he is bound so that he might NOT deceive the nations.

If there were no nations to deceive he would not need to be bound to not deceive them.

So perhaps we can clarify this a different way. Where do you see satan being bound?

Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

The text says clearly after the 1000 years Satan will go out and deceive the nations. Before that those in Christ will be with Jesus and the wicked are dead until after the 1000 years. Revelation 20:4-5 It’s all in the OP.

In the end there are two groups. Those with the mark of the beast and those with the seal of God. You left this part out from Revelation 20:4 - We are either saved or lost- 2 groups not three. We either have the seal of God (saved) or the mark of the beast (lost).

Revelation 9:4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Revelation 13: 9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

It’s late my time, signing out. God bless
