We have some squirrels here that the locals refer to as fairydiddles. They are a bit smaller than a grey squirrel and have a stripe almost look like a cross between a chipmunk and a squirrel. They run across the power lines near my house quite often and several live in the neighbors tree.

A town that I grew up near, Olney, Illinois, is famous for it's White Squirrels. They almost look like albinos but they don't have the pink eyes.
