And many were once believers.
Truly? How do you know?

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. (1 John 2:19)

Okay, great ... so all of His dire warnings in the NT
about falling away and losing salvation, etc.
were bluffs, exaggerations, lies even.
There was a verse you posted which stated loss of salvation?

I think only 3 out of the 10 were before Jesus went to the Cross.
James teaches us that faith + works are required.
No James showed that faith without works is dead. Meaning not saving faith.

A little more time exploring these verses within the context of the text would go a long way in helping to communicate your point. But when we do put your plucked verses in context we just find out you created a proof text pretext.

If you can understand what you read, try Romans 6:16 on fer size.
No need to look it up, just look down at it.
That’s why I asked. Take a few moments read the entire chapter and let me know if (a) Paul is making a logical comparison or (b) warning everyone they will lose their salvation?

My security is in Christ Jesus, Who is eternal, not my own act of faith.
Sure, this is good as far as it goes!
But, you're no different than anyone else ...
What are YOU going to do with all of those dire warnings
in the NT about doing your part in your salvation, or else?
Are you just going to keep on ignoring/rejecting them?

HUH? ... Been eatin' too many Kiwi birds again?
This is another instance of why I don't believe you're Pentecostal.
There was another native flightless bird of New Zealand, called the Weka, that early Maori used to refer to as "Maori chicken". Kiwi, being a nocturnal bird that never came out in daytime, would have been far more difficult to find and catch.

If Colonel Sanders was a Maori, he would have called it "Finger Lickin' Weka". But don't confuse it with "Weta". I don't think they would be as tasty!

Haven't I told you before that I am a Pentecostal Calvinist? :)

John 14:15-23 ● “If you love Me, keep My commandments …
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me
… If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him,
and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
He who does not love Me does not keep My words”

Not a warning but a statement of fact. Jesus is telling them this is what it means to be a disciple.
The above is all about ...
Who gets to heaven who does NOT love Jesus?
Are you getting the picture yet?
Who gets to heaven who does NOT obey His commandments?

In support of your post and for information purposes:

James, along with Peter and John were there with Paul, Barnabas and Titus when they had the council at Jerusalem to debate the teaching of the Judaizers who taught that one had to comply with the Mosaic Law and be circumcised in order to be saved. The conclusion, agreed to by James, as well as Peter and John was that circumcision was not required of Gentiles, hence Titus was not required to be circumcised in order to receive the right hand of fellowship, and that all the Gentile churches had to do was to remember the poor. So, James, John and Peter totally agreed that the gospel that Paul preached (faith in Christ without works) was the same gospel they preached.

So if our friend is preaching faith plus works, he is not preaching the same gospel as James, Peter, John, Barnabas, and Titus! And these men preached the true gospel of Christ.

What or Whose Righteousness is the One which saves?
Year after year after year, you're hopelessly making excuses, after excuses, after excuses!
I've had enough for 2019 ... see you again in 20.

I just believe what Paul wrote to the Galatians, that faith plus works is a false gospel and those who believe it are bewitched and heading to hell instead of heaven. Paul says to those Galatians who have been influenced by the Judaizers to believe that works are necessary additions to faith, that they are incredibly foolish!

Yes the picture is clear. Jesus is telling them what it means to be a disciple. What one looks like.

So, let's get this straight ... Do you believe in grace (with faith) only?
While we're at it ... Who produces the faith, you or God?

Paul called the error at Galatia a false gospel and those promoting it “let him be accursed”
