I am so sorry for your loss, and I know in some way this burden will be with you in some form while you reside on this earth. This world can be difficult and often is - moreso some than others. It is a mystery to me why some suffer moreso than others. The pains of this world can be rewarding - a gift in disguise if you will. I think of the stock market crash from 1987 and reading of someone who committed suicide after that short period of time when much money was lost in all of that. That person may have amassed quite a treasure and saw it suddenly vanish right before his eyes. Yet, those who had little, had little to lose. They struggled all along with not much to show for it, yet when the market crashed, it wasn't as devestating of a blow. Where your treasure is, so also is your heart. If your treasure is for things of this world, it is only temporary - unlike God's love which is eternal. I try to balance this message with Jesus' teaching that God will take care of our temporal needs as well (something to the effect that even the birds are given enough to eat and are taken care of by God). My best wishes to you. In Christ....It was comforting (much later on though for me) when I lost my six year old daughter Emily a few years ago. She fell suddenly ill and died within 24 hours of her sickness.
God gives and takes away, His name be blessed for ever, should be our words.
I do see her as lucky. She unlike me will not to endure this life. If I could chose the time of my departure, it would have been at a much younger age then her.
She got my wish (I wished for myself).
