First off, my praise. I've been battling lately with a lot of things in my life. I've found the secret weapon to this is to just drop what I'm doing and pray about it. Only takes a few seconds and works wonders.
Anyway I was doing this the other day, I had the TV on and was trying not to listen to it, but I couldn't help it. Then I heard someone delivering a short story about sin. And how all those who turn away from the darkness of sin get to see "the light". Really lifted my spirits and I wanted to praise/thank God for that.

And now for the requests, I'm taking my private pilot checkride on Monday and I'm going to need all the divine intervention I can get. I've been practicing for this for a very long time and my deadline to get this license is the middle of August. So it's pretty urgent. Please pray that I remember all I've studied and have all the skill I've spent all these years practicing up.

Also on monday, my sister is going to court to get a restraining order on her ex-boyfriend. Please pray that God protects her and her son.

That's awesome. Congratulations! If you don't mind my asking, where did you go on your Cross-Country?

It's not actually required that you go on a cross country for your private pilot's checkride, you just have to plan one. I planned mine to Witchita

But for the two cross country flights I did have to do (as part of the experience recquirements to take the test in the first place) I went to Cape May, New Jersey, and Salisbury, Maryland (this was when I lived in New Jersey).

I'd go flying, but the airport is busy with government affairs (the airport is a joint-use field, for the military and civilians, so we have to lay off the flying when they need the airport).
