Anyone here watch this show? I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a thread for it yet. It's kind of a morbid show, but it really educates you on the limits and quirks of the human body, so you won't make any mistakes that they already did. It's also really, really funny. XD

There's two versions of it though. The old seasons weren't that funny, but the new seasons are (the one with the stick figure animated opening is the new one, the one with photos and a white ink blotted screen is the old one). If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to try it out!

1000 Ways To Die is probably not fit for Christian viewing but nonetheless it is one of my guilty pleasures. Each story is a little morality-play, where the doomed individual is shown to be deserving of a gruesome (and often hilarious) death. If it's not one of the Seven Deadly Sins that cause the on-screen characters to punished with death, it's bad luck. Incredibly bad luck.

Does anyone think the original narrator sounds like actor Ron Perlman?

I'm surprise this thread was started by a girl.

Yeah, this show is great. I love they title the stories with puns at the end of each one. Puns usually suck, but they're actually pretty funny on this show.
Yeah, I guess it might be pretty surprising at first. :p

And I agree with you, they actually do a really good job on most of their puns. XD

Well, I think it is fit for Christian viewing as long as it's being viewed for informational purposes. It is funny none the less, but God also has a sense of humor. Some of the depictions might be a little iffy to watch, but I use those like the others to teach me anything else I need to know I shouldn't do. It's pretty obvious already in most of them, but some were surprising.

Yeah, that's so true! A lot of the characters were just mental or immature, and that's what caused their demise. There was one I didn't think was funny, and that was the girl who was trying to give a raccoon CPR. She actually cared, and was just being too careless of her surroundings at the moment.

Also, I'm not sure how Ron Perlman sounds, I'll have to look him up. : o

The show is funny for about 5 minutes before it gets repetitive and old. And the puns are cringe worthy for sure. But I find myself putting it on from time to time if there isn't anything that's actually worth watching on tv and I need some background noise.

As for not good for Christians to watch, why not? Because people are dying? I'm sure God would want us to learn from others' mistakes, right? Is it because we're poking fun at those situations? You have to remember, names and likenesses are changed. So we really don't know who those people were or what REALLY happened to them. Also, I might add, does anyone else think a lot of these are urban myths in actuality?

I have seen this show, but it is quite disgusting at times so the show doesn't interest me. However, I do find it funny how some people's stupidity serves as a warning to others. Bill Engvall is right, stupid people should have to wear signs.

If you know the actual stories, the versions in 1,000 Ways to Die aren't as funny.

*edit*
...that sounds really bad, doesn't it? I don't laugh because people die, I laugh because of how stupid people can get.
