  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How close is the National SUNday Law?

The "Lord's day alliance" and the European SUNday alliance are on the move to push hard for a SUNday rest day once again. These "alliances" have been at it for several decades to bring in a SUNday rest day law, making it mandatory that people not work on SUNday. Or ironically making it mandatory...

The history of the sabbath from the eyes of mainstream Protestantism

Protestant Confessions Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath. Anglican/Episcopal Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism , vol. 1, pp.334, 336...

Daniel 7:25 "And he shall think to change times and laws"

Here is a fulfillment of prophecy which is nothing new. The Protestant reformation taught this. Hereare catholic documents that prove that the catholic church did in fact change the sabbath to Sunday, which is the "times" spoken by Daniel. And from the vatican archive is the difference between...

The Four Gospels on Sabbath & Resurrection

There has been a lot of discussion on CF of the relation between the Jewish day of rest and worship, Saturday, and the Christian day of rest and worship, Sunday. When and how was this change made, and by who? Does the Bible authorize the church to change the day of worship? Gentile Christians...

    God changed the Sabbath

My emphasis here is on scripture that says the Lord has changed times and seasons. Dan 2:20-22 20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; For wisdom and might are his. 21 And it is He that changeth times and seasons; He deposeth kings, and setteth up kings; He...

Seventh-day Adventist affirm God's Ten Commandments - who else does?

I am as motivated as anyone else to promote the benefits of the Seventh-day Adventist church as I show here -- Aug 9, 2005 #1 But I freely admit that we have many non-SDAs on this section of CF that keep the Bible Sabbath AND that boldly state that they affirm all TEN of the TEN Commandments...
