  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Time to Ourselves

Where are we now, in this world of ours? Can we escape? Go to the stars? Take a vacation? Block it all out? Laugh at it all, rather than pout? How will that help? Change anything? Sometimes a break keeps us breathing. Sometimes we need just time to ourselves, Sort through it all, then put on a...

    Life Before Santa

‘Twas the life before Santa, And all through the church, They were praising their Lord, And His righteousness searched. The bells that were ringing Were calling for prayer. They were calling on God To His righteousness wear. Confessing their sins, Thus, they humbly did bow. Forsaking their...

A reminder for everyone to calm down.

Whatever burden a man has across thy shoulder. Surely another boulder can wait? Are we of the earth, not patient? Are we not? Atlas man. Calm. Calm down. Rest your neck and back and legs, take a rest upon a log or stone or bough. For it is now. We deserve rest. Not an hibernation, but something...

    Hope, Patience, and Prayer

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12 ESV) Hope Now I am not going to look up a bunch of words today, so I am going to just share my understanding here on this word “hope,” for this is me having my quiet time with the Lord and letting him speak to...

    I'm lonely and I need a friend

I'm going through a very difficult time in my life right now. I'm trying my best, though. I practice an abundance of self-care skills, activities, and things that otherwise bring me joy. I surrender my emotional pain to God, and I've reconnected with my faith. I try to practice acceptance and...

    Looking Through the Window

Now I am looking through the window In the corner of my room. I see people walking here and there Seemingly without a care. I wonder, “Do they truly know Him? Do they think of Him at all? Do they think of what He’s done for them? Have they given Him a call? “Do they wonder if He’s listening To...

Pray for the end of gory Halloween stuff, and for the end of demonic practices

Hello folks. Halloween used to be a somewhat innocent holiday where folks dressed up in cool costumes such as space suits, or job professions back in the 2000s. Now, in the 2020s, it has become a demonic holiday with movies about witchcraft, and slasher films with realistic CGI and blood. Pray...

    When Thoughts Trouble

I pray to the Lord When thoughts trouble my mind. I put my trust in Him. Then, peace I do find. I have no control Over what others do. They all have the freedom To others subdue. It pains me to watch How some lie and they trick. Their plans are so sneaky. Their words are so slick. They hate...

    Hope Deferred Grieves the Heart

Proverbs 13:12 NASB “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” As I contemplated the meaning of this proverb, and as I prayed for understanding, there were two main “deferred hopes” that came to mind. The first one is the hope of salvation for my loved ones...

I Asked the Lord in Prayer

Today I asked the Lord in prayer If life on earth should not be fair, Should everyone get what’s deserved For all they’ve done, for all they’ve served. I contemplated that in mind, In hoping that the truth I’d find. And as I gave it some deep thought, The truth of all, it surely brought. For...
