  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Do Not Desire His Delicacies

Proverbs 23:1-3 ESV “When you sit down to eat with a ruler, observe carefully what is before you, and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite. Do not desire his delicacies, for they are deceptive food.” I live in the USA. I was born here in December of 1949. I am 70...

Maybe it isn't all your fault

My father in law stated that a lot of his wealth was due to having the wisdom to buy his house back in 1967 when the price was low, 13,000 for a large house now worth over 800,000. The property attached allowed the construction of another house fairly recently worth around 600,000 for a build...

    Everything is spiritual...

Nothing in this world (concerning the human race) is ever just physiological or psychological. At the core of every issue is a spiritual reality. And that is why merely physical and psychological and educational and political methods will never be enough to deliver humanity from its many...

    It is Good for Me

Friday, November 4, 2016, 3:45 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Psalm 119:65-72 (ESV). Knowledge and Good Judgment (vv. 65-66) You have dealt well with your servant, O Lord, according to your word...

    Genteel Brutality

I thought of an interesting phrase, "Genteel Brutality" like the way a lot of rich have the corner on empowering the poor, like the Bible says, "you did not strengthen the arm of the poor."

    Poverty is a Death Sentence

This video is under 4 minutes long (I just want to throw that out there in advance in case you're afraid of some sort of long meandering video :) ). Do you consider poverty a "life" issue? I do. I think Pope Francis does as well.
