  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Philippians 2:12-13 ESV “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” In the verses prior...

    Before the gods I Sing

Psalm 138:4-6 ESV “All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth, and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord. For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from...

    Merciful and Gracious

Psalm 103:8-10 ESV “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.” God the Father sent his Son...

Did You Really Not Know That Christ Must Be Obeyed? --Yes, You!

Do you not know that Lord means Master? To claim that Christ is your Master, you must actually be His servant: this is not rocket science, folks... The Lord Himself asks this very question, to you: "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" --Luke 6:46 So instead of...

    On Some Points

Romans 15:14 ESV “I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another." If we are in Christ Jesus, by God-given faith in him, and if we have died with him to sin, and if we are living to him and to...

    And Without Faith

Hebrews 11:6 ESV “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” This word “faith,” in the original Greek, is “pistis.” It means belief, trust, confidence, fidelity and faithfulness...

Faith "of" Christ Vs Faith "in" Christ

Faith begins with & is worthless without, Christ's Faith as the foundation: Hebrews 12: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (NOTE: Christ...

    My Heart's Desire and Prayer

Romans 10:1-4 ESV “Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. We Uphold It

Romans 3:21-26 ESV “But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the...

    In Him We Live

1 Peter 2:13-17 ESV “Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the...

    He Will Not Disappoint

I live in the United States of America. I was born here in 1949. America is what I know. This is where God placed me. And, so a lot of what he gives me to share is related to my nation. But, some of this may apply to other nations, too, so if you don’t live here, just let the Lord speak to your...

    Wash Yourselves

Isaiah 1:4-8 ESV Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged. 5 Why will you still be struck down? Why will you...

    Be Very Courageous!

The children of Israel of the Old Testament had just spent 40 years in the wilderness after they had been delivered by God, via Moses, out of slavery in Egypt. Many of them died in the wilderness, though, because of their sins of disobedience to God, which included idolatry and sexual...

    But, the Lord Delivered Us

The following is a passage of scripture from the Old Covenant Relationship God had with his people Israel, of that time. Not all of it applies to us today, but much of it does. “From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.” 2 Corinthians 5:16 ESV We all make judgments every day of our lives, so not all judgment is bad. It is only bad if we are making...
