  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Welling Up to Eternal Life

I am reading in John 4, beginning with verse one, concerning Jesus’ divine appointment with a Samaritan woman at a well in Samaria. While Jesus was seated at this well, this woman from Samaria came to draw water, and Jesus asked her for a drink. She was surprised that he, a Jew, would ask her, a...

    Living Water

My people have forsaken Me, Their Savior, who died on a tree; Made idols, and they worshipped them; So empty, they will ne’er fulfill. Lord, You are the hope of Your chosen ones. Those who turn away from You will be shamed; The Spring of Living Water left behind. Living Water satisfies. The...

“On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”’” (Jn. 7:37-38 ESV). Many within the church of today have forsaken...

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”’ Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those...

    The Fountain of Eternal Youth

Jn 7: 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (MY NOTE: In the last day means this event occurred on the last day (Day 8). During the Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast of the year.) 38 He that...

In Revelation 22, is the river of life a He or thing in Greek grammar?

I am looking to find the nature of the River of Life that flows from the throne of God the Son in Revelation 22. Is it a thing or is it Him? This according to the apostle John's Greek? There are the words for "a river", and "of water" and "of life". Strong's describes them in Biblehub this way...

    Drink the Living Water

Summary of John 4:1-18 Jesus was on his way to Galilee from Judea, so he had to go through Samaria. Samaria was the shortest distance between the two places, but Jesus had to go through Samaria for another reason. He had a divine appointment with a Samaritan woman at a well. Jesus was tired...

    A Divine Appointment

Gift of God John 4:1-14 Summary Jesus had a divine appointment with a woman at a well one day. She was from Samaria. (Samaritans were not liked by the Jews). He asked the woman for some water. She was surprised that he, a Jew, would ask her, a Samaritan woman, for a drink of water. Jesus told...

In The Thoughts of Our Hearts

Luke 1:30-33 ESV And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him...

    A Spring of Water

Thursday, March 10, 2016, 5:00 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song, “Unless You Are Born Again.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read John 4:1-42 (ESV). Living Water (vv. 4-15) And he had to pass through Samaria. So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that...
