  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    God's Creation

Thanks to Nasa and the Discovery Channel we now know that the psalmist in Psalm 8 was only aware of less than 1% of what we understand as the vastness of God's creation and outer space. I suspect that even now that we still actually only know less than 1% of the vastness of God's creation and...

Heart Matters: Jesus Loves Me this I Know

If I had to choose one song which has been the most powerful and helpful for me, I think it would be Jesus Loves Me this I Know. As a pastor, I’ve had opportunities to minister to people facing many types of struggles and heartaches. Really tough stuff. I’ve sat with families as their loved...

The Legalism of Modernism vs the Mercy of Traditional Catholicism!

I just found this awesome video, that totally calls out the modernist tyranny for what it is! I often call modernism, Jansenistic, because it denies the human beings are capable of knowing absolute truth. The way modernism denies that truth is knowable for human beings, is basically akin to...

    Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone! I joined mainly for an assignment, but I might as well introduce myself. My name is Jake and I am currently attending college. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints for all my life. I got off of serving a mission a few months ago (that thing...

What do y'all think about Christ's Atonement?

What I mean by "Atonement" is the process that Christ went through in the garden of Gethsemane, his suffering on the cross, etc. What do y'all think really happened there? what is the significance of it? I would appreciate y'alls opinions.

    Scripture Question - Genesis 22

So, I'm doing a devotional bible study, and I'm reading the passage about how God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son Issac, and then stops him at the last moment. I understand the significance to Abraham. He needed to understand his priorities, that even the gifts God gave him could not come...

Tell me something good about the One True Church

I'm still recovering from the nightmare mass, I attended this morning. The Holy Catholic Apostolic Church is a beautiful wonderful gift from God to us, it enables us to fulfill the purpose of existence. The modernist and cafeteria catholics sneer at such a view of the Church, and doing...

    Fruit of the Spirit

How will others recognize you as a disciple of Jesus? A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. —John 13:34-35 But the fruit of the Spirit...

    A Stronger Attraction than Sin

Here’s an interesting analogy that can help us understand how experiencing more of God’s love and growing more in love with God helps us to resist the pull of sinful attractions. All objects in the universe attract each other by gravity. The bigger the object, the more the pull of its gravity...

    Thou Shalt Love

And the second is...

    Love in Romans

While I was teaching at a Bible college in Indonesia, I had the incredible blessing of teaching a class on Romans. This gave me the opportunity to study the book of Romans in depth. One of the ways I studied Romans was to study key words used throughout the book. This led to an insight about...

    God's Chisel

This video by the Skit Guys is about how we are God's masterpieces, and I personally found it amazing. I wasn't sure where the best place to put it was, but I wanted to share it because it really makes you think about how God is shaping you to live for Him. It's also very relateable since it...

    Trying to encourage him

J is very sick and I really wanted to encourage him. So I mailed him a card and an inspirational coin with a Bible verse on it. Please pray that both of these are very well received. I feel like the story of the loaves and fishes. It's not like I'm sending much, but I really want God to use them...
