  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    You Who are Spiritual

Galatians 6:1 ESV “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.” An Exhortation Brothers and sisters in Christ, fellow Christians, those of you who have died with Christ...

Why is "falling short of the Glory of God" said in the same breath as "all have sinned"?

Why is "fallen short of the Glory of God" said in the same breath as "all have sinned"? I mean, it's rather obvious that sinning is falling short of God's command and short of the Law, and short of so many other things about God. But his glory? Why does it mention his glory? Is it as simple as...

This is the falling away: "I will wait for your children to believe, even if you will not"

Hi there, So the impasse is that some have faith and others do not: a classic division between expectation and deliverance. Some saying the difference is one thing, others denying it. The fallout reaching a head, when it is considered whom actually will believe? This is where the children...

A Foolish Choice Cost Me My Kids

A few years back, my kids did something very crazy. Something that I have trouble forgiving them for. They took someone from me, in their paranoid state of mind. Someone who only wanted to help them. All because I thought I could save them from themselves. Because I wanted them to have a better...

    I am very sad.

i really want to cry like a baby. I don't know where I stand with God anymore. I have basically fallen away. I felt betrayed and rejected by God. I should've fought this battle of unbeleif and sin. But I became lazy and tired of guilt and condemnation. I strayed away. It really isn't about my...

    Fallen

I feel that religion offers life of righteous hardships in the name of "higher goals". Its nice and perfect. But it drains all the joy from current life, to fuel this idealistic lifestyle. Seeing it, I guess I know why Lucifer had fallen. He couldn't bare the hardships of service to the divine...

    I'm Tired

I'm tired of living in this so-called "fallen world." Call me a Pharisee, but it seems like I'm the only one concerned about "righteousness." Maybe that's because I'm tired of hearing about mothers killing their children, about husbands abusing their wives, about people dying of overdoses...
