  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Many Christian Denominations promote "all TEN" not "Just Ellen White"

Since some have made this sort of topic a focus - recently - I am summarizing our position in this thread. 1. Many Christian denominations on BOTH sides of the Sabbath topic - affirm and promote "all TEN" of the Ten Commandments as being included in the "commandments of God" applicable tot all...

Charles Haddon Spurgeon and Ellen White - Similarities

I just finished watching this biography/dramatization of the life of C.H. Spurgeon and was struck with the list of similarities between his life and ministry and that of Ellen White - both of whom were doing ministry in the 1850's to the 1880's (Ellen White continued her ministry until 1914)...

Website (SDA?) Accuses Roman Catholics of Deleting Words from the Ten Commandments

The website given below is one of the first to come up if you do a search for Ten Commandments. Who put up this site? Adventist View of Demons is False

A basic belief of the Seventh Day Adventists is that there is no soul or spirit separate from the body. The SDA church teaches that death is followed by Soul Sleep, that the person is not conscious until the resurrection, a literal, physical resurrection. This belief is jarring to many...

    Jesus is the Archangel Michael??

The founder of the Seventh Day Adventists, prophetess Ellen White, said that Jesus Christ is one and the same with the Archangel Michael mentioned in the Bible. This is a belief that the SDA have in common with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Both sects came out of the Millerite movement in 19th...

SDA: Moses Resurrected from the Dead

One of SDA founder Ellen White's more unusual claims is that God resurrected Moses from the dead, in Old Testament times. "In consequence of sin Moses had come under the power of Satan. In his own merits he was death's lawful captive; but he was raised to immortal life, holding his title in the...
