  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Failure: Is it Even Possible with God?

Does God's word ever fail? (Romans 9:6) What I believe this means: God's call to salvation happens every time the Gospel is preached, people can reject God's call on the condition that they do not yield to the Spirit. (Just like how physical Israel didn't) Still the word of God does not fail...

What are implications of unconditional election?

This post asks questions about certain Calvinist doctrines. If God chooses those to be saved based solely on His will, the implication is that He chooses those He won't save (based solely on His will). Is that correct? The elect cannot lose their salvation. Is it also the case that the...

    In Defense of Calvinism

Why, if I believed what some preach about the temporary, trumpery salvation which only lasts for a time, I would scarcely be at all grateful for it; but when I know that those whom God saves He saves with an everlasting salvation, when I know that He gives to them an everlasting righteousness...
